Ludwig Ahgren, referred to as Ludwig, tattooed himself with the logo of competing streaming platform,Twitch. After beginning his career on Twitch and growing a huge audience there over his first few years,Ludwig transitioned over to YouTube. He signed an exclusivity contract with the company, citing a lack of recognition on Twitch’s part as the reason for the move, among other things.

The streamer started out creating mostly gaming content, playingMario PartyandSuper Smash Bros.games. He was also aSuper Smash Bros.pro and has made a name for himself as a broadcaster. These days,Ludwig is known for exploring a variety of streaming genres. His channel features game shows and collaborations with a variety of personalities. In late November of this year, Ludwig hosted a charity event on his channel benefiting No Kid Hungry, an organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America. As an added incentive in the last hour, Ludwig committed to getting a new tattoo, and the four highest donators would each get to pick an option. In the last ten minutes of the stream, he opened a poll where viewers could vote on one of the four choices.Fellow YouTube creator Valkyraemade the highest donation at $15,000 and decided on the Twitch logo as her pick. When the polls closed, it was revealed that Ludwig would indeed be getting the competing platform’s logo tattooed on his body.

Although the logo won, it led the polls by a tiny margin only. In fact, it was technically a 50-50 tie with the second choice: a picture of Ludwig’s cat, Coots. Placed on his forearm, theTwitchlogo is inked in black and white. As an apparent compromise, Coots the cat appears surrounding and hanging off the logo, its paws and nose in pink.

Fans might wonder if this puts a strain on the relationship with his new streaming platform, especially since this isn’t the first timeLudwig has had trouble with YouTube. But when the streamer tweeted a picture of his newest body art, the YouTube CEO simply chimed in with the eye emoji. Ludwig responded asking playfully, “Who narc’d?”

Earlier this year, Ludwig interviewed YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki, and they discussed several issues content creators had with the platform. But the conversation was a positive one, and the streamer’s relationship with the company appears to be healthy and happy, despite a few early speed bumps.
