The coolest characters in RPGs tend to be the more action-packed classes. Noah, for example, wields a giant sword with another blade, made out of energy, coming out of it. Any fan ofXenoblade Chronicles 3would love to get their hands on a weapon like that.

As cool as Noah is, he wouldn’t be anything without the support of his team. There are three class types inXenoblade Chronicles 3. There are the aforementioned attackers like Noah along with healers and defensive brutes. For now, let’s focus on the attack classes and find out which of the stacked cast performs better from the main cast tothe guest characters. There will be spoilers.

12Ethel

Ethel is one of the strongest characters in the game’s story. Her class uses two swords and is also powerful for whoever wields it early in the game. This class unlocks the first of several side character slots inXenoblade Chronicles 3too, The downside to Ethel is that after this introduction, she disappears for most of the game, making her almost useless for this massive RPG.

11Melia

Melia falls in a similar boat with Ethel. She is the true Queen of Keves and not some secret robot in disguise. She helps the party out in the final battle but she does not become an unlockable side character until the post-game. Her class is a summoner although it is notlike a Summonerin theFinal Fantasyseries. Characters can wield and staff and shoot arrows of light with this class. It’s strong, but again, it’s not around until the end making Melia and her class low-tier.

10Segiri

Segiri can be acquired about halfway through the game. The earlier she is acquired, the stronger the team will become. She’s the only character that pilots a mech permanently for her attack class. This gives her a good defense and HP limit too. The bad side to getting Segiri is that it requires a massive amount of menial side quests before her character side quest unlocks. The tedium may not be worth it in the end even as strong as she is.

9Alexandria

Alexandria puts on a strong face the first time she fights Noah and the party. She belongs to a silver-ranked colony and Alexandria, along with her team, showcases what that rank truly signifies.

Ethel in Xenoblade Chronicles 3

Her sword for her class has a decent reach to it as it acts similarly to a whip. This gives her a good advantage in battle since there aren’t a lot of long-range or even mid-range characters or classes inXenoblade Chronicles 3.

8Riku And Manana

Riku and Manana will be the first sword and shield class that will unlock in the game. They are still considered an attack-type class even with a shield. It makes sense since it is a small shield and is used more for attack purposes. Even though the duo are side characters that occupy that slot in the party, they are always around for the story. It’s almost like the game should have made them permanent seventh members and made the eighth slot for the side members.

7Juniper

Juniper is one of only two true long-range characters in the game. Shewields a bowand even though she is considered an attacker, her strength is in her support abilities. The arrow shots won’t do much damage but the boost abilities attached to Juniper will increase certain stats. Like some of the support healers inXenoblade Chronicles 3, she’s a good extra to have around for the more deadly encounters.

6Triton

Triton is a member of Moebius although he hasn’t followed the main squad for a while. He is more interested in living life to the fullest with his support crew. He’s not into the idea of manipulating normal humans to give him life energy. He’s one of the better characters in the game for his personality. He strikes a mean punch too and his class acts like a Blue Mage like in theFinal Fantasygames.

5Gray

Gray is the other long-ranged attacker in the game and his class is much more powerful than Juniper’s. Bullets do tend to be stronger than arrows, or at least more prevalent, in real life. He can be acquired as soon as Valdi is unlocked which also unlocks the ability to climb purple vines.

Gray is as mysterious andcool as Vincentis fromFinal Fantasy 7. He even looks similarly from his scarf-covered face to his cape to his guns.

4Ghondor

Ghondor is another excellent character in the story. She’s charismatic, a bit too angry, but she means well. She is a late addition to the party and her class is based on two fist weapons. She literally packs a punch in battle and can shatter even the strongest defense shields in a fight. Ghondor is not to be trifled with inthe RPG combator the narrative.

3Cammuravi

Cammuravi begins as an enemy rival to Ethel. Eventually, the two will team up to stop Noah and therest of Ouroboroswhich then lead to their death. The two get resurrected, but Cammuravi is the first that can join the party. LikeXenoblade Chronicles 3’snarrative, he is an absolute powerhouse with his flaming spear. His class is very strong and also has a decent range.
