Celebrities invading the world of professional wrestling is nothing new, with names like Muhammad Ali, Hugh Jackman, Mike Tyson, and Bad Bunny all stepping into the ring at some point. However, they have been less common in wrestling video games as only a few, including Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst, can say they got to make the jump into the gaming world. This is about to change as with the newestWWE 2K22DLC pack,Logan Pauland Machine Gun Kelly will be joining the game’s already massive roster along with five names from WWE’s past and present.
WWE 2K22is the latest game from WWE’s long-running partnership with 2K Games and developer Visual Concepts and is the first entry since 2019’s much malignedWWE 2K19. The game saw the return of a general manager mode in the form of MyGM, along with changes to the game’s showcase, career, and universe modes. As for the roster, it featured one of the biggest launch rosters in aWWEgame with over 160 wrestlers, many of who left or were released from WWE before the game’s release, which has only grown with subsequent DLC packs.

The latest DLC pack, titled The Whole Dam Pack, features the second and third celebrity additions to the game afterMr. T’s addition in one of the previous packs. As mentioned above, Logan Paul and Machine Gun Kelly are the latest celebrity roster members joining the game alongside Rob Van Dam, LA Knight, Sarray, Xia Li, and Commander Azeez.
Logan Paul’s addition is the most timely as the social media star made headlines when WWE announced he signed a contract with the sports entertainment giant. He made his official in-ring debut atWrestleMania 38, tagging with WWE veteran The Miz to beat Rey and Dominik Mysterio before Miz turned on Paul after the match. The pair is set to go one-on-one atSummerSlamin Paul’s first match as an official member of the WWE roster.
Machine Gun Kelly’s addition spurs, partly, from his work behind the scenes as he was the executive soundtrack producer forWWE 2K22. However, he does have his history on WWE television with multiple live performances including hisWrestleMania 28performance leading into The Rock and John Cena’s much anticipated first-time match. Kelly hasn’t escaped WWE TV unscathed, though, as he was powerbombed off theRawstage by Kevin Owens following a televised performance.
As for the other additions, WWE Hall of Famer andECWoriginal Rob Van Dam is front-and-center as the pack’s namesake. He was among the most popular wrestlers in WWE from the early to mid-2000s and continues wrestling today, most recently working in Japan with Pro Wrestling NOAH.
WWE 2K22is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
