The WWE pro wrestling promotion remains incredibly popular and its primetime shows, RAW and SmackDown, are two of the most popular on TV. Despite the WWE’s heavy cuts to its roster since the pandemic started,WWE 2K22still features over 150 wrestlers, with more coming as DLC. But part of what WW 2K22 so attractive, both to WWE fans and those who have moved on, is the pro wrestling game’s custom character creation system. Needless to say,WWE 2K22players are already making some exciting new characters.

In a virally popular TikTok video from creator yungmiikey, a clip showing off two ofWWE 2K22’s custom creations. The text in the video reads “These WWE graphics too good man,” with the video showing the entrance of a custom Batman character and a brief fight with a custom version of John Cena’s DC Comics character Peacemaker.

The video is undeniably impressive, as bothBatmanand Peacemaker’s custom characters are well put together. Batman even has a cape during his entrance, though he notably takes it off for his wrestling match. Regardless, that anyone was able to recreate Batman’s cowl, costume, utility belt, and other uniform details to a degree where it’s believably authentic is a compliment toWWE 2K22’s character creation system. And that’s the say nothing of Peacemaker’s authentic costume, as well.

Many of the responses to the TikTok video joke that clip could serve as a sequel to theJohn Cena-ledPeacemakershow. During the show, Cena’s character gets accused of not being a superhero like Batman is. In response, Peacemaker goes on a curse word-filled rant about what he really thinks about Batman. Fans of thePeacemakershow, as well as fans of WWE star John Cena, are having fun imagining that this is Batman teaching Peacemaker what being a superhero is really about.

Batman and Peacemaker are obviously just two examples of what’s capable withWWE 2K22’s custom character creation system. YouTube is already full of automated Royal Rumbles packed with strange characters, including Mario, Jason fromFriday the 13th, Donald Trump, Spider-Man, Homer Simpson,Skeletor, Cartman fromSouth Park, God, and many, many more.

With as many great custom characters as there already are inWWE 2K22, the list is only going to grow longer from here.WWE 2K22is already being received significantly better than thecontroversy-ladenWWE 2K20, but if the new game’s legacy is nothing but fun custom characters and YouTube automated Royale Rumble events then it’s going to be a success in many players' eyes.

WWE 2K22is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
