Saronite Ore is one of three end-game ores found throughout all zones of Northrend in World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic. It is used for a number of high-level crafting recipes that areBest in Slotfor the first few phases and the infamousGnomish Army Knifethat allows non-healing classes an attempt at resurrecting dead players. Where to Find Saronite Veins in WotLK Classic
Much the same asTitanium Ore,Saronite Oreis found in all regions of Northrend. In fact, it shares a spawn with Titanium Ore Deposits.
The zones with the highest amount of Saronite nodes areIcecrown, Sholazar Basin,andStorm Peaks.
Best Saronite Ore Deposit Farming Routes
Each zone has over a hundred locations for Ore Deposits to appear. In the images below, follow theOrange Pathto hit the majority of deposit locations in each zone. If there is no one else farming in the zone, following this path should allow ore nodes enough time to respawn by the time you have completed a loop around the route. If there are other players farming on your route, try reversing your direction or utilize theGrey Pathto find additional nodes that we’ve highlighted below.
Icecrown Saronite Ore Farming Route
Be sure to hit up Icecrown Citadel, Sindragosa’s Fall, and Argent Vanguard as these are typically where multiple nodes will spawn. A good route would be to start at Argent Vanguard and make your way north along the mountain edges to Sindragosa’s Fall. Then head into the central valley making sure to check both the inner and outer ridges. Additionally, you can explore the Fleshworks region for a few other chances at finding some ore nodes.
Sholazar Basin Saronite Ore Farming Route
The main loop is a “figure eight” inSholazar Basinaround Frenzyheart Hill and The Makers' Overlook. Make sure to go through Rivers Heart as well for some underwater nodes. If this route is too packed, a larger loop including the large “Pillars” can often find more nodes. Finally, the mountainside perimeter around the entire zone usually has a consistent source of ore nodes.

Storm Peaks Saronite Ore Farming Route
Storm Peaksis good if you have a flying mount. The Saronite Ore Nodes are often in closer clusters, however, a lot of them are going to be inside caves requiring dismounting. If you’re flying around, stick to the mountain ranges. Start at Brunnhildar Village and make your way around the southern and eastern parts of the map. A much longer loop can be found on the northern and western side of the map, but here the ore deposits are fewer.
Recipes That Use Saronite Ore
Saronite Oreis only used to makeSaronite BarviaSmelt Saronitewith Mining (400). Saronite Bars are used in a number of Engineering and Blacksmithing Recipes a full list is in the collapsible section below. Players who have Alchemy can take 8Saronite Barand transmute them into the 1Titanium BarwithTransmute: Titanium. Titanium Bars are the refined version of Titanium Ore and can be used in a number of best-in-slot recipes. Also note that in Phase 2 when Ulduar is released,Titansteel Barswill become available from Mining withSmelt Titansteeland new recipes will use them for the next tier items.
