Being a priest inWorld of Warcraftcomes with a sense of grandeur, opulence, and understanding of the Light. Over the years, these ideas manifested in the various armor sets with shades of white and gold along with a dash of angelic halos. Priests have multitudes of options to choose from, be it classic sets from the vanilla days or the stunningly detailed options available now.

Many of the priest class’s best sets comefrom the old days, long before 3D assets began appearing. All the way back to the Vestments of Transcendence and its paper-thin design, the priest has always had beautiful armor to wear and choose from. Shadow, however, is the only spec players have yet to see a good design for, and it requires a bit of creativity to transmog it right.
Updated July 19, 2025, by Christopher Fain. With the release of theShadowlandsexpansion, players have a much larger pool of transmog to choose from. Whether it includes bits of dungeon sets or holds a covenant-centric flare, look forward to a new, fashionable outlook when considering Shadowland priest transmog ideas.

Bastion and its covenant, The Kyrian, are certainly the most priest-like in aesthetics. Bastion, after all, fits the mold of a heavenly afterlife with winged folk appearing like angels. While the covenant does present some of the best priest transmog items, it still leaves shadow behind. However, there is a Kyrian recolor, known as the Discordant set, that fits the general aesthetic, but it’s fairly expensive at a whopping 12,500 anima for the ensemble.
12Selfless Bearer’s Set
For the basic priest aesthetic, there is no better priest transmog in theShadowlandsexpansion than the Selfless Bearer’s Set. This set comes in pieces as rewards for completing Chapters 1-7 of the Kyrian Campaign. Unfortunately, that means a priest must be allied with this covenant in order to collect this transmog. The set includes:
The Selfless Bearer’s set features a thick collar around the neck, a gilded hip and neckpiece, and vibrant blue jewels scattered throughout. It matches perfectly with the animated Selfless Watcher’s Spire, a cosmetic staff sold by Forgelite Neptira in the covenant sanctum for 3,500 anima and 10 Grateful Offerings.

11Custom: Blood Priest
While some priests wish to follow the aesthetic archetypes of holy or shadow, others prefer tomake their own style. This custom set, coined as Blood Priest, encapsulates that notion, using some ofShadowlandsmore visceral cloth options. The Blood Priest set uses mythic recolors from single cloth drops within the Castle Nathria raid in Revendreth. It includes:

The Blood Priest set evokes the concept of a plague doctor with its witch hat and beak. It’s also covered in bold red potion bottles, most likely filled with some sort of toxins. The set pairs well with the Raid Finder recolor of Crimson Court Backstabber for 1 Abominable Anima Spherule. The offhand piece is a similar vile of red potion called the Crypt Keeper’s Vessel, a cosmetic item bought from Phixin in Bastion for 500 anima.
10Avatar Raiment
In 2007,The Burning Crusadelaunchedwith anastonishing six raids, two of which drop tokens for one of the best priest sets in the game. Within Serpentshrine Cavern and The Eye are armor tokens for the Avatar Raiment, an angelic and very priestly outfit. It comes with a glistening, white hood with a glittering halo and golden wings on the shoulders. Turn the tokens into the Shatari Quartermasters in Shattrath City. Additional pieces include:
The set matches perfectly with another piece ofThe Burning Crusadehistory known as the Staff of Immaculate Recovery. The top of the staff is the bust of a priest with a similar gear set and golden angel wings. The staff drops from Gurtogg Bloodboil in Black Temple.

9Regalia Of The Exorcist
Those that favor less goodness and light in their priest transmogs might prefer the Regalia of the Exorcist from armor tokenswithin Throne of Thunder. It’s more of a dark and broody set with smoking candles melting into the shoulder pads and bells galore. Upon earning the tokens from the raid, turn them over to the Shado-Pan Quartermasters in Townlong Steppes or Isle of Thunder. Matching pieces include:
The belt comes with a 3D tome hanging from the side. For a staff to match, consider the Charmed Cierge from Naxxramas. It comes with three candles melting atop shrunken heads.

8Soul Priest’s Raiment
Priests with a deeper connection tosouls and the afterlifefeel right at home in the Normal recolor of Soul Priest’s Raiment from Blackrock Foundry. The shoulders are adorned with ghoulish faces that move and stretch as if trying to escape. They emit an eerie, blue mist which also sprouts from the helm and belt. This set includes:
Obtain the full look by combining it with Girdle of the Infected Mind from Brackenspore in Highmaul and Cavedweller’s Climbers from Gruul in Blackrock Foundry. It’s difficult to match this set with a weapon, but the effect is similar to that of the Mythic version of Spur of the Great Devourer. The tip of the staff appears to be moving, glowing vertebrae, similar to the spikes on the back of Gorefiend, the boss from which it drops. Find Gorefiend within the depths of Hellfire Citadel inWarlords of Draenor.

7Ruthless Gladiator’s Satin Armor
Traditionally, PvP sets have always been known to be the edgier sets, filled with spikes and other sharp objects. Even healers get the same treatment, such as the Ruthless Gladiator’s Satin Armor for priests. The hooded helm comes adorned with giant spikes that surround the head. The shoulders and helm both emit a glowing, yellow smoke.

Ruthless Gladiator Quartermasters in both Orgrimmar and Stormwind sell this priest set. Additionally, it pairs with the Ruthless Gladiator’s Cord of Meditation and the Ruthless Gladiator’s Treads of Meditation, both of which drop in Baradin Hold. Not many weapons match the set, but the Staff of Draconic Pacification, a reward from “Narkrall the Drake-Tamer,” comes close with its color scheme.
6Vestments Of Blind Absolution (Mythic)
One of the most iconic sets fromThe Burning Crusade, the Absolution Regalia made a return inLegionwith updated textures. While the all-new Vestments of Blind Absolution look relatively identical, it includes many 3D pieces, such as the gems on the chest and gloves. The Mythic version stands out the most as the faces on the shoulders cry out in holy light. It’s the first time the shoulders have been unchained, adding a powerful aura to the armor. This priest transmog includes:
The helm includes a golden chain in place of the halo, appearing as an intimidating, holy punisher rather than an angelic being. The full set includes the Sash of the Unredeemed, a random drop within the raid, and Slippers of Enduring Vigilance, dropped from Priestess Lunaspyre and Huntress Kasparian. It all combines well with the Goblet of Glittering Favor from Opulence in the Battle for Dazar’alor and the Warmongering Gladiator’s Endgame from PvP vendors in Stormshield.

5Valorous Regalia of Faith
Those priests seeking a clean and less-extravagant set may find respite in the Valorous Regalia of Faith. It features a glowing, blue halo and shoulder pads with feint angel wings sprouting from them. Purchase the full set from cloth vendors inWrath of the Lich King’sDalaranwith armor tokens from Naxxramas. Pair the set with the Boots of Forlorn Wishes, dropped from Instructor Razuvious and Gluth, for the full look.
Beyond the halo and angel wings, the set shows its age. Spruce it up with the similarly-designed Antiquated Highborne Cinch, dropped from Skorpyron in The Nighthold, for an extra splash of 3D. The Staff of Restraint from The Obsidian Sanctum matches the color of the set fairly well.

4Grievous Gladiator’s Satin Armor
One of the most menacing priest sets inWorld of Warcraftis the Grievous Gladiator’s Satin Armor. The color scheme changes depending on faction as Horde gets red effects while Alliance gets light blue. It comes with a dark hood and both the shoulders and belt are filled with glowing holes and feathers. Every once in a while, the armor charges up in an eerie glow before sprouting large angel wings reminiscent of those fromDiablo. When this occurs, the helm gains a spikey halo and the feathers around the set glow.
Obtaining the set is easy as the ensemble is purchasable from Ethan Natice in Valley of the Four Winds or Acon Deathwielder in Kun-Lai Summit. The matching Grievous Gladiator Cord of Accuracy and Treads of Alacrity are purchased from the same vendor.

3Vestments of Transcendence
The original setsfrom vanilla WoWare largely believed to be the epitome ofWarcraftclasses. The Vestments of Transcendence for priests is just that. It emits beaming light from the helm and shoulder pads. The shoulders also have banners that fall down over the chest. The design appears ancient in nature but doesn’t follow the same aesthetics as Ahn’Qiraj. This priest set includes:

Being one of the classic sets, Transcendence encompasses all parts, including the often separate pieces of belt and boots. The set’s color scheme matches moderately well with Anathema, the priest class weaponthat has the ability to change into Benediction. Unfortunately, the staff is no longer available, but the original priests who still have it know it makes for a unique transmog option.
