Shadow of the Erdtreehas its fair share of secrets and surprises throughout theRealm of Shadow. One of the most shocking moments in theElden RingDLC is when players scale to the top ofEnir-Ilimand go through the boss gate to recognize a familiar face.Promised Consort Radahnproves to be the most demanding boss in the DLC, and probably the whole game. This guide includes a step-by-step walkthrough of unlocking the final area inShadow of the Erdtreeand getting to the boss at the top.
How To Reach Enir-Ilim In Shadow of the Erdtree
After defeatingDivine Beast Dancing Lion, players might notice an inaccessible area blocked by a mysterious shadow. This is the final area in the game, and cannot be accessed until you have defeated a few main bosses. After proceeding to theShadow KeepinScadu Altusand going to the top, you will come face to face withMessmer the Impaler. Defeating him will grant youMessmer’s Kindling, which you will need later.
Proceed to theWest RampartSite of Grace, accessed by going west of theStorehouse First Floor. you may cross the bridge from the West Rampart to theViaduct Minor Tower,which connects to theAncient Ruins of Rauh. After thoroughly exploring this area, head to theRomina, Saint of Budboss, located inside theChurch of the Bud. After defeating this boss, head south to reach the Sealing Tree, which you can burn using the Kindling. This will trigger a cutscene and teleport you inside Enir-Ilim.
How To Get To Promised Consort Radahn
From theFirst RiseSite of Grace, head southwest through the doorway and up the staircase. There should be a small bridge you may jump across to get to the other side of the area filled with Inquisitors.
A heavy Inquisitor drops aRevered Spirit Ashwhen slain, so take out that one and ignore the rest.
Head east and up the staircase, which should lead you to aDivine Beast Warriorwho is very tough to beat. It is advisable to defeat this enemy and proceed forward, but if you find it difficult, you can try to run towards the staircase on the right. You are not clear after the Divine Beast, as an Inquisitor is constantly casting Spira as you make your way to the top of the stairs.
Watch the ground to anticipate where the next cast will come from, and avoid it by going in the other direction. If you get hit once, start rolling. Do not brute force into running, as you will die.
The Cleansing Chamber Anteroom
After reaching theSpiral RiseSite of Grace, head up the staircase and jump out of the window on your left. Ignore the enemy in front of you and turn right, heading to the rooftops filled withGravebirds. There should be a broken railing in the northwest direction that you jump up to and head up the staircase. You will come upon another rooftop area with a Divine Beast Warrior on the right side. Approach the enemy and turn left of his location to reach a window that you jump into and head up the staircase. To the southwest, there should be a doorway that leads to stairs going up to the Divine Beast Warrior mini-boss.
For this fight, you can summon your Spirit Ash, so make full use of it.
After dealing with this enemy, head straight, and you can interact with theCleansing Chamber AnteroomSite of Grace. Head east and enter the large room where you can invadeNeedle Knight Ledaand his allies. After the fight, head east, collecting any Armor Sets you find. Head up the elevator, and you should reach a giant staircase with a Site of Grace in the middle. Interact with it and be ready, as there should be a boss gate at the top of the stairs leading to the Promised Consort Radahn.
