AResident Evil 3remake player has found an odd glitch that lets Jill Valentine take a trip to the parasite barber shop and lose her hair. The glitch is related to one ofResident Evil 3’s death scenes.
Resident Evil 3’s remake was one of the games that introduced several death scenes for players that fail to shake off the zombie threat. From the many ways that Nemesis can kill players, having one’s neck bitten off by zombies, being eaten by one of the Gamma Hunters, or having the final boss show off his knife skills, the game doesn’t lack in ways to kill theFinal Girl of sorts Jill Valentine. One of the most abundant threats during the midgame is the Nemesis Alpha zombie which is a special variant of the normal zombie enemy that has a tentacle that can be used to attack Jill from a distance.

AResident Evil 3player called Chiken079 found a bug related to the Nemesis Alpha’s death scene as it was able to make Jill completely lose her hair. She is then so overcome with grief that she loses her will to live without her signature hairstyle. At least that’s the best way to explain how the player died when the parasite only removed Jill’s hair and stopped bothering her afterward. Quite uncharacteristically polite for aResident Evilmonster.
In reality, what’s supposed to happen in the original death scene is that Jill gets consumed by the Nemesis Alpha parasite and proceeds to walk as one of the game’s enemies afterward. The issue seems to happen at the moment the parasite opens its mouth to feast on Jill’s head and attempt to assimilate her.Resident Evil 3players will be quick to notice that the parasite falls back to the original zombie that struggled against Jill and then remains there with its mouth open but still doing its animation as Jill continues to struggle and then succumb to the parasite.
Of course, this didn’t stop the r/residentevil community from making hilarious comments about Jill’s hair loss. Some players suggested that theiconic character fromResident Evil 3has worn a wig the whole time and died from embarrassment while others are thankful that it happened to Jill and not Leon S. Kennedy fromResident Evil 2. Perhaps the idea of him losing the majestic hair that he flaunts in theResident Evil 4remake would be a fate worse than death for some players.
Resident Evil 3is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
