A workout video shows Charlie Cox training in the gym while he gets into shape to playDaredevilagain in the upcoming Disney Plus series.
AfterDaredevilwas canceled in 2018, fans wondered if Cox would ever portray the Man Without Fear again. Now, not only will Cox play the character again inthe upcomingDaredevil: Born Again, but the actor put the pedal to the metal to get the character right when he plays him again.

An Instagram post fromTeam KF Martial Artsshowed Cox training to play the role again in the upcoming show. In the video, the account had the following caption: “Charlie cracking some pads from a few weeks ago. Getting serious pop on some of those shots. The left hook to the body is money. I’ve renamed the superman punch the Daredevil in my gym.” The video itself shows Cox throwing punches, dodging punches, and showing his timing as a fighter. In other words, it’s clearly prep for when he has to play his iconic role as the Devil in Hell’s Kitchen in the upcoming series.
Other MCU actors likeThor star Chris Hemsworthand Chris Pratt primarily had to look like beefcakes when they played their respective characters in the MCU. Cox, on the other hand, had to learn martial arts because Daredevil is more of a vigilante than he is a superhero. His character is much more grounded because he’s fighting against actual criminals as opposed to aliens or robots like other MCU characters. It’s clearly a role that Cox has taken to heart, as demonstrated by his efforts to get the martial arts down to make himself believable when he portrays Daredevil.
Luckily, Cox’s Daredevil has already made his return to Marvel when he showed up in a cameoin the MCU seriesShe-Hulk, where he clearly showed he still has both sides of the character down both as Daredevil and as Matt Murdock. That is a good sign, all things considered, seeing howDaredevil: Born Againis likely going to go in a different direction compared to the one Netflix went with when they had Cox’s iteration of Daredevil. Whether the show will be good or not, one thing fans can count on is that Cox will continue his masterful portrayal as both Murdock and Daredevil when it starts.
And who knows, maybe this could be the turning point for the Marvel Studios series that fans have been watching on Disney Plus. Fan reactions to the MCU shows have been mixed, to say the least. While they haven’t been bad, they haven’t been able to fully capture the same magic that MCU movies did for over a decade.Bringing in Cox’s Daredevil, which made for some of the most entertaining superhero media that fans have ever watched, could very well be what earns the fans' trust that the series they make going forward can make for entertaining television.
Daredevil: Born Againis scheduled to premiere on Disney Plus in the spring of 2024.
