Updated on June 06, 2025, by Nahda Nabiilah:There are a couple of advantages of collecting the Liyue local specialty, Violetgrass, in Genshin Impact, including leveling up certain characters and boosting their stats. Since Violetgrass doesn’t require any special extra stepto be completed like Cor Lapis in Genshin Impact, it doesn’t matter which character collects it. However, some characters like Qiqi or Yanfei possess a Passive Talent that facilitates local specialty hunts for players by marking them on the mini-map. Like any local specialty, Violetgrass needs 48 hours to respawn.
Violetgrass Location In Genshin Impact
The first step to searching for Violetgrass is to not search in Mondstadt, as it will not grow or be found in that country. It, however, does grow in the Liyue region on mountainsides and cliffs. This means that players will need to climb to find them.
Wuwang Hill
One great place to look in Liyue is Wuwang Hill, as there are more mountains and cliffsides in that area. From the Waypoint west of Qingce Village, go south to grab some Violetgrass, then head east towards Wuwang Hill. Glide down the hill to grab more Violetgrass or teleport to the nearby southern Waypoint and go east then west to obtain the materials.
Mingyun Village
Head to Mingyun Village’s northern Teleport Waypoint and proceed north to grab some flowers. Return to the Waypoint and glide south towards the Statue of the Seven while climbing hills andcollecting local specialties inGenshin Impact. Now, go east towards the Hidden Palace of Lianshan Formula Domain to grab more flowers.
Bishui Plain
If players collect the Violetgrass around the Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern and proceed east towards the Waypoint, more than 10 flowers are guaranteed to be picked up.
Head to the Teleport Waypoint north of the Taishan MansionDomain inGenshin Impactand explore the eastern area to gather a decent amount of Violetgrass.
Mt. Aocang
Speaking of decent amounts, Travelers can find more than 15 Violetgrass south of Mt. Aocang.
Lingju Pass and Mt. Tianheng
Fast-travel to the Statue of the Seven near Lingju Pass and collect the Liyue local Specialty nearby. Next, head to the southeastern Waypoint and glide east to get some more from Mt. Tianheng. Return to the same Waypoint and go west this time towards Lingju Pass to collect more Violetgrass from cliffsides
