Gamers that have been playingVampire Survivorssince the beginning will certainly have already unlocked Hurry Mode, possibly without even noticing.New players will have toplay through a few stages before unlocking this useful game-mode. Thankfully, unlocking Hurry Mode isn’t as much of a chore as some of the secrets in this game.

Unlocking Hurry Mode

To unlock Hurry Mode theplayer needs to obtain the Sorceress' Tears relic. This can be foundin Gallo Tower. When entering the stage the player should see agreen arrowat the bottom of the screen; this is pointing to the Sorceress' Tears. It’s a long walk down to the relic, so players should not wait too long to begin heading down. Another thing to keep in mind is that the player will have to fight the relic’s guardians when they arrive in the area. These guardians aren’t too difficult to defeat though. Once the player has retrieved the Sorceress' Tears they are free to exit the stage if they wish.

Gallo Tower is unlocked upon the playerreaching level 60 in the Dairy Plant. The Dairy Plant is unlocked after reaching level 40 in the Inlaid Library. The Inlaid Library is unlocked after reaching level 20 in Mad Forest. The hardest of these is reaching level 60 in Dairy Plant; which can be a tricky stage if the player puts together a suboptimal build. This might seem like a lot for beginning players, but Gallo Towercan be unlocked after about thirty minutes of playtime.

Using Hurry Mode

Hurry Modedoubles the speed at which the clock moves, making a standard 30-minute stage take 15 minutes to complete. The speed at which the waves of new enemies appear are also increased. One benefit of Hurry Mode is a25% increase to experienceearned. This helps the player keeps pace with enemy strength. In all other aspects the stage is the same as the standard 30-minute version. One thing to make note of is that the clock still goes to the 30-minute mark - it doesn’t stop at 15.

The seconds tick away at twice the speed; so, a 30-minute stage is reduced to 15 minutes even though the clock still goes to 30. Players can alsocombine Hurry Mode with the other available game modes. Combining Hurry Mode, Hyper Mode, and Inverse Mode on the Green Acres or Bone Zone stages are the hardest stage variants to survive. This is especially true if the player doesn’tuse arcanas, enablelimit breaking weapons, and limit their weapons slots to three or less.
