The newest flashy cinematic trailer forHonkai: Star Railgives players a closer look at the first featured five-star character in the game, Seele. With less than two days left until the launch ofHonkai: Star Rail, HoYoverse has given fans plenty of reasons to be excited about the release of theHonkai Impact 3rdspinoff. Multiple characters set to launch with the game have been revealedthroughout the action-RPG’s closed beta testsand promotional material. Now, the first five-star character set to appear on the game’s gacha banners is being shown off by HoYoverse.
HoYoverse is gearing up for a big launch withHonkai: Star Railseeing an enormously successful pre-release campaign since its first reveal in late 2021.Star Railhas amassed over 10 million pre-registered users with some fans feeling it could even topple records set by the developer’s other massively successful RPG,Genshin Impact.Honkai: Star Railis set to feature several differences from its HoYoverse predecessors, most notably with its shift to turn-based combat. Now, HoYoverse is teasing the game’s first featured banner character, Seele.

Honkai: Star Rail’s newest trailer, titled “Uneventful Night,” gives players their first look at Seele, a familiar face for fans ofHonkai Impact 3rd. The flashy trailer features Seele dispatching several enemies with her scythe, giving a teaser of both the character’s theming and animations for many of her attacks. Seele is also joined by another character during the trailer, fighting alongside another ofHonkai: Star Rail’s five-star characters in Bronya.Both Seele and Bronya appear prominentlywithinHonkai Impact 3rdand are expected to be similarly relevant inStar Rail.
With the release ofHonkai: Star Railonly a couple of days away, players are already set to receive plenty of bonuses following the game’s launch. The game’s previously mentioned pre-registration campaign includes 20 of the game’s “Star Rail Passes,” giving players plenty of chances to get Seele early. Players will also be receiving a free four-star character with the debut ofHonkai: Star Rail, withServal as a free rewardfor passing the 3.5 million user count. Social media milestones have also guaranteed even more free gacha pulls for players starting the game.
Honkai: Star Rail’s release this week will add a third major title to HoYoverse’s lineup with its predecessors seeing plenty of success for the Chinese developer.Honkai Impact 3rdcelebrated the sixth anniversary for its initial Chinese servers last year with the global version hitting the five-year mark last month.Genshin Impacthas been a breakout hit for HoYoverse, quickly becomingone of the most popular free-to-play gamesin the world with millions of players.Honkai: Star Raillooks to continue HoYoverse’s trend of success when it launches this week.
Honkai: Star Railwill launch on April 26th for PC and mobile devices. PS4 and PS5 versions are in development.
