The Binding of Isaacis filled with hundred of helpful items that make players more powerful in order to face the various floors ahead of them. One of these items is the Glass Eye, anew item added for theRepentanceDLC.
WhileThe Binding of Isaachas had theRepentanceDLC for months now, the Glass Eye is one of the items added in the game’s most recent patch. Because of this, many players are getting to experience playing with this item for the very first time.

Unlike many other items, the Glass Eye doesn’t need to be unlocked before it can be found in-game. This means that as long as players own theRepentanceDLC, they have the chance to find this item in their playthrough.
The Glass Eye is a passive item that increases Isaac’s damage by 0.75 and Isaac’s luck by one. It can be found in the boss room item pool, crane game item pool, and golden chest item pool. In Greed Mode, it can be found in either a silver treasure room or for sale in a shop. Like other passive items, it sells for fifteen cents in the shop.
There are two things that make the Glass Eye so special compared to other items. The less impressive point is how the Glass Eye is one of the few damage increasing passive items available from theboss room item pool. The only other passive items that increase damage from this pool are the Blood Clot, Cat-O-Nine-Tails, Growth Hormones, Jesus Juice, Pentagram, Synthoil, Halo, Magic Mushroom, Stapler, and Stye.
If players are able to get a second Glass Eye, they will be able to see the secondary effect of the item. Instead of going into the same eye socket as the first Glass Eye, the second glass eye will go into Isaac’s other eye. This will make both of his eyes appear large and anime-like. The effects of multiple Glass Eyes additionally stack, making this not just a cosmetic benefit. Unfortunately, three or more Glass Eyes won’t add even more eyes to his head.
Characters with different colored eyes, such asTainted Judas, will have their eye color retained with the bigger anime eyes. By default though, Isaac’s eyes will be blue in this new costume. This effect is similar to the Guppy’s Eye item, which will cause both of Isaac’s eyes to change if multiple copies are obtained.
The Binding Of Isaac: Repentanceis available now on PC, and will release on PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S later in 2021.
