Those living outside of North America might not realize it, but another Holiday comes between Halloween and Christmas. It is called Thanksgiving, and it’s a day to spend time with family, reflect on everything that one has to be grateful for, and enjoy a good meal with a giant fat bird at the center.

This bird, of course, is the turkey, both beautiful and humble with its display of colorful feathers and large girth. It holds its head high with a proud walk and a distinctive waddle and also appeared in several video games. These iconic virtual turkeys are perfect for putting everyone in the Thanksgiving mood, because Christmas can wait a little longer.
7No Turkeys Were Harmed In Doom 3
Life on Mars is Hell, both literally and metaphorically. With the base on the red planet overrun by demons, Doom Guy has to vanquish the denizens of the underworld inDoom 3. All that demon slaying on thatdark, depressing basecan be pretty oppressive, so Doom Guy could use an outlet for his frustrations.
Here enters Super Turbo Turkey Puncher 3. The goal of the game is self-explanatory: punch the turkey to rack up points. Each turkey can be hit a certain number of times until it explodes in a shower of giblets. Players needn’t worry, though. It’s just a video game.

6The Turkeys Strike Back In South Park for the Nintendo 64.
While the recentSouth ParkRPGs are held up as examples of how to do aSouth Parkgame right, the franchise took a long time to get there. Thelong-running satirical masterpiecefrom Trey Parker and Matt Stone had one of its earliest video game incarnations in the form of a first-person shooter for the Nintendo 64 and PlayStation.
The opening level sees the main four kids being assaulted by a mob of turkeys that want to pick their skin clean. These turkeys are mutants that have ravaged the local Renaissance Fair, and the boys have to repel them with their arsenal of snowballs. They must not reach the stuffing mines!

5There Are No Turkeys In Spore, But That Can Be Easily Fixed
Sporewas aggressively hyped before its initial release, and while it was not the second coming, it turned out to be a neat little game. The main hook ofSporeis that anyone can create a single-cellular creature andevolve itto the point where it reaches sentience.
While turkeys were not built into the game itself, the potential of Spore’s creature editing tool makes the creation of a turkey a possibility. It can then either be an ambassador of the Thanksgiving spirit to other creatures or become their Thanksgiving dinner.

4Turkeys. In. SPACE!
Even in a galaxy far, far away, the simple turkey is represented. While these are not earthly turkeys, the Nunas, or “swamp turkeys” as they are called, are a source of nourishment in theStar Warslore.
Nunas made their first appearance in the video game version ofStar Wars: Episode I, The Phantom Menace. According to the officialStar Warswebsite, Nunas are native to the swamps of Naboo. They arevery stupid, but also easy to care for. At Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney World, one can pick up some Nuna turkey jerky.

3The Soul Of A Turkey
The realm ofWorld of Warcraftcontinually evolves, introducing new species, new lands,and new quests. In 2021,World of Warcraft’s Pilgrim’s Bounty quest enabledWoWmembers who played as night fae to take on the form of a plump fowl.

To pull this off, a night fae had to eat each food at the Pilgrim’s Bounty tables a maximum of six times. This gave the night fae a glowing turkey Crittershape that looks as if it could be the ghost of Thanksgiving’s past.

TheTekkenfighting games can’t be accused of taking themselves too seriously. Fighters have included such oddities as a panda bear and a wooden man whomimics his opponents’ moves. The franchise has also included a quirky side game: bowling.
Tekken Bowlhas appeared in several entries in the franchise, as well as in a standalone app. InTekken 7, the game’s fighters compete in a round of tenpin in a technicolored alley. Rolling three consecutive strikes will yield a turkey. This will prompt a row of cartoon birds to appear over the bowler’s victory animation.

1Santa Needs To Wait His Turn
Turkey has had enough of Santa stealing Thansgiving’s spotlight. It’s time to settle this once and for all inTurkey Punch, a fighting game in which Santa and a Turkey finally square off to answer a question that very few people will have thought to ask.
Two players canplay simultaneouslyon the same computer. The turkey has its standard arsenal of moves, including a basic attack and a block, in which he sticks his head in the ground. If the turkey takes enough damage, then it will be able to unleash its special move: a blast of energy from his mouth that will “slay” jolly old Saint Nick.
