The trailer is a silent showcase of crewmate life, haunted by the paranoia surrounding a malevolent impostor. However, the end of the trailer revealed an impressive list of voice talent. The major names included here are a great showcase of just how wellAmong Ushas done for itself.
The Cast Of Among Us Is Incredibly Prestigious
The names listed at the end ofAmong Us' TV show trailerare, frankly, above what fans could’ve expected even given the game’s peak popularity. Just about everyone attached is incredibly prolific, so much so that it’s hard to pick out a particular example. In the world of videogames, Ashley Johnson is perhaps the biggest name; not only is she among the cast of hit TTRPG showCritical Role, she is very well known for playing Ellie inThe Last of Us. Debra Wilson also has a well-trod history in gaming, playing Amanda Waller in multiple DC titles as well as Cere Junda inJedi: Fallen Order.
Other huge names attached to the project include Wayne Knight, Elijah Wood, and Patton Oswalt. Knight has played big roles in massive films likeJurassic ParkandSpace Jam, while Patton Oswalt continues to be a prolific voice and screen actor—with perhaps his most beloved project being the Pixar filmRatatouille. This cast isa good sign forAmong Us' fortunes, highlighting how InnerSloth still has a great deal of cash to play with. On the other hand, while these names do bring more legitimacy to the game, they may not rectify the title’s woes.Among Usmay have recognition, but that recognition still materializes as mass teasing. Still, as long as the show’s stellar cast has good material to work with, and the adaptation doesn’t try to take itself too seriously, it has a lot of potential to succeed where the game has stumbled.
