Summary
Nintendo and Sanei Boeki, a popular Japanese manufacturing company, are teaming up to release Korok plushies based onThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Sanei Boeki specializes in making stuffed toys based on Nintendo’s brands, such asMarioandPokemon. Additionally, the plushie-making company is no stranger to theLegend of Zeldafranchise, having created several designs forBreath of the Wildfeaturing Zelda and even a Bokoblin.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomis an improvement toBreath of the Wildin almost every way, with the sequel improving on several aspects, likeKorok puzzlesand making the game more fun. InBreath of the Wild, it was only possible to find one Korok at a time and get their corresponding seed, but inTears of the Kingdom, players also had the opportunity to come across a puzzle and get two seeds. In order to complete this new mystery, Link would sometimes have to use a combination of his new abilities, like Ultrahand and Zonai devices, to help reunite a pair of the playful pals who were seemingly on a backpacking adventure.

Sanei Boeki announced on Twitter that around mid-February 2024, it would be releasing two versions of the Traveling Korok plushies fromThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. While both plushies are similar, there are some differences in the color palette. The first product features a darker green Korok wearing a light brown backpack with a dark brown base and an orange blanket. On the other hand, the second variant is a Korok that is lighter green, wearing a red backpack with a dark brown base and a yellow blanket.
In a follow-up tweet, the company listed the dimensions of the Koroks in centimeters, with them having a width of 22, a diameter of 18.5, and a height of 17. Fans of the game will be able to purchase the pair of plushies from Sanei Boeki for around 3,300 yen each, or around $22. However, there is no additional information on whether theKorok plushiesare exclusive to Japan or will also be getting a US retailer.
Even thoughplayers have been torturing KorokssinceThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s release, the short pals hold a special place in the hearts of gamers, so the lack of a US retailer would be disappointing. However, there is still time until the release, so Nintendo may surprise fans in the US by announcing the plushies later.
