Membrane is one such resource that can typically be found in creatures. However, not every animal inStarfielddrops these materials, and players are going to have to go through some extra hoops if they want to find a reliable source.
Where to Find Membrane in Starfield
Like other organic materials, membranes can be acquired as drops from certain types of animals. The earliest kind of these kinds of fauna can potentially be found on Jemison. Players should either head to the wildlands outside of New Atlantis orland anywhere else on the planetto findCoralbugs, large critters that are virtually harmless to the player as long as they don’t get too close.
Membranes fall under the Tissue category of organic materials, which means players don’t have to look for this resource specifically if they want to complete their building, crafting, and research projects. Any other material in the Tissue category(such as Nutrients)will do the job just as well. The only difference here is that they drop from different kinds of animals.
Hunting Coralbugs on Jemison is free, and it’s a great thing to do on the side while players are exploring the rest of the planet. However, it’s not exactly the fastest way to get a stock of membranes going. General goods stores likeJemison Mercantiledo tend to have these for sale, so players should be sure to visit them.
Other general goods stores include:
Trade Authority stores are present in almost every settlement inStarfield, and they usually have a wide assortment of things for sale. They’re also one of the few stores that buy stolen items and contraband.
Players who are adamant about manually harvesting membranes can try looking for a planet with a high fauna density. There’s no guarantee that the animals that spawn there will have membranes or other tissue-type materials, but it’s something to keep in mind if players are already looking for a suitable planet to build an outpost on. To make things a little easier, players should also ensure tofully analyze Coralbugs and similar creaturesto find out which biomes they can be found in.
