Summary
OneStarfieldfan with some impressive research skills has seemingly managed to decipher a substantial part of the game’s remaining marketing roadmap. They promptly took to social media to share their findings and resultingStarfieldpredictions, one of which already came true.
The June 11 Starfield Direct yielded almost an hour of new gameplay footage from the upcoming RPG, but also marked the beginning of a six-week period of Bethesda’s radio silence on the game. That took some fans by surprise, leaving them with little to do but scrutinize the existing gameplay videos frame-by-frame, which resulted insome interesting observations aboutStarfield’sskills, planets, and other features.

As part of those efforts, one particularly dedicatedfan spent almost 200 hours putting togetherStarfield’sfull skill systemfrom the bits and pieces that Bethesda revealed about the game to date. But it seems that this undertaking –authored by Reddit user asd8dhd– also yielded a big chunk of the upcoming RPG’s marketing roadmap that has been hiding in plain sight for weeks. The key piece of information central to their theory is a number sequence that’s briefly seen in some recentStarfieldfootage offering a glimpse at how gravity jumps will look in action.
Starfield Promo Video Launch Date Predictions by asd8dhd
The series contains six numbers in total: 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, and 42. After noticing that the pattern is repeated twice in the scene, with one of its renditions sitting next to a “loading event sequence” message, asd8dhd theorized that the numbers are actually references to six dates preceding Starfield’s September 6 release. According to that interpretation, 7 and 14 would hence denote August 29 and August 22, respectively, and so on.
The first of those half a dozen predictions already came true within hours of asd8dhd posting their theory on Reddit, as Bethesda today releasedthree animated shorts revealing new lore details aboutStarfield. Assuming this eagle-eyed fan is onto something, the developer will continue putting out weekly promos all the way until the game’s release.
While many fans chiming in on this theory expressed their utter amazement at the fact that its first prediction came true, others were more skeptical about the deciphering effort. Some have thus speculated that asd8dhd is actually a Bethesda employee, arguing that it’s extremely unlikely someone would have actually deduced the game’s marketing roadmap from such an inconspicuous number sequence. Yet asd8dhd repeatedly denied those allegations, attributing their find to “space magic.” Whatever the case may be, the newly released promos might temporarily stop the fandom fromspeculating aboutStarfield’sperceived planet scalingand other minor details, at least until they analyze every last frame from the newly debuted videos.
