After Twitter bot PSN Releases leakedStar Wars Project Maverick, the developer of the bot Luciano Ciccariello posted the content ID for the game’s PlayStation Store listing. By using this ID, fans have been able to look at the database file which reveals more information about the newStar Warsgame.

One of the biggest features confirmed by the file is thatStar Wars Project Maverickwill support five players using the Play Together feature which allows players to start a game from the Party menu. This means thatStar Wars Project Maverickwill have multiplayer.Star Wars Battlefront 2has anenjoyable online multiplayer modeand fans would be excited to see howStar Wars Project Maverickcan do better than that.

The ID for the game has the word “beta” in it which suggests that the listing is just for the beta version of the game and not the release version. EA did hold a beta test forStar Wars Battlefront 2so it’s not surprising to see that the company also wants to give fans a way to playStar Wars Project Maverickbefore release. It also suggests that the game is close to release as beta tests aren’t typically offered so far from a game’s release date.

The database file also says that the game will not have PlayStation VR support. This will be important to fans as one of the most popular suggestions is thatStar Wars Project Maverickwill be a VR game. Areport about EA’sStar Warsgameshad calledStar Wars Project Mavericka smaller title and some thought that EA, which hasn’t done much with VR headsets, could be releasing this as a way to see what fans enjoy about VR gaming.

It’s unclear whatStar Wars Project Maverickis. Disney, which ownsStar Wars, has said that it would likemore games likeStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order,but that doesn’t mean thatStar Wars Project Maverickhas been developed to make the company happy.

There are rumors that Respawn Entertainment isdevelopingStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2but it seems very unlikely that it is ready to put the game on the PlayStation Store. Fans will have to wait for more leaks about the game or for an official reveal.

Star Wars: Project Maverickis unofficially confirmed for PS4 and has no current release date.
