If there’s one aspect ofAndorthat stands above the rest, it’s probably the cereal. That stuff looks delicious. But aside from that, one could easily argue that the show’s writing is its most impressive offering. This is helped by the incredible acting on display in the Disney PlusStar Warsseries, and it looks like the actors themselves hold their reverence for the experience.

Andoris a show that loves its speeches, but the quality of the writing extends beyond even those powerful moments. Every viewer likely has their favorite tidbit, from a bold and repeated declaration as prisoners run to freedom to quieter moments among found family. But what about those involved with theStar Warsshow? Several actors involved withAndorhave surprising choices for their favorite lines in the series. Surprising and maybe a bit wacky.

DuringStar WarsCelebration 2023, a few stars fromAndorbriefly spoke withIGNabout what bits of dialog stood out to them, and they had some delightfully eccentric picks. First up was Denise Gough, who plays the intimidating Imperial Lieutenant Dedra Meero. She recited a one-take line from her character that seems innocuous, but there’s more to it. “I need a multi-sector data blend going back two years. The survey pool is Imperial naval bases and repair facilities,” Meero (and Gough) said. “I want a record of all missing avionics, comm, navigation, and targeting equipment.” Why did she choose this line? “The reason I remember it is because I couldn’t do it on the day,” Gough admitted to a laugh from her fellow castmates.

Next up was Kyle Soller, who plays thecereal-loving civil servant Syril Karn. He quickly chose a line from his character as well. “There comes a time when the risk of doing nothing becomes the greatest risk of all.” His castmates agreed with his love of the line; however, it’s funny to think about considering how Syril is meant to be a rather pathetic character who’s more obsessed with rules than any actual personal convictions. It’s a great line with a wonderful delivery from Soller, but it’s coming from an unfortunate place in the show. As a side note, Soller and Gough’s chemistry seems precisely what many fans want to see between Syril and Dedra. So hey, at least they can get that much.

Finally, Adria Arjona (Bix Caleen) offered her choice, picking one fromFiona Shaw’s aging radical character Maarva. Diego Luna’s titular character Cassian Andor pleads with her to consider her safety, saying, “I’ll be worrying about you all the time.” In response, she says, with a smile, “that’s just love. Nothing you’re able to do about that.” Maarva is Cassian’s adoptive mother on the show, making the moment more heartbreaking. This sentiment was shared by all 3 actors in the interview, which is nice to see since it shows how they still engage with the series beyond working as performers.

Unfortunately, there was little to offer regardingteases forAndorseason 2. The interviewer inquired whether there would be more scenes of Syril eating cereal, which is admittedly crucial information. But the actors couldn’t say anything further than hoping that Syril and Dedra would share some. Got to give the fans what they want.
