The first show of the series is set to debut on March 18, at 10 AM PDT. While there are several announcements and trailers slated for the inaugural program, the biggest standout will be the premiere of the next game in theLife is Strangeseries.Rumors ofLife is Strange 3have been circling lately, claiming that the game is titledLife is Strange: True Colors. The same purported info goes on to mention the new game will focus on an Asian-American woman named Alex who possesses the ability to read minds. Square Enix’s press release, while vague, does mention that the newLife is Strangewill focus on an “all-new protagonist wielding an exciting new power,” so it stands to reason that the rumor may actually be true.

Square Enix has much more up its sleeve to fill up the 40-minute digital-direct event. In addition to the aforementioned title, fans can expect myriad announcements and trailers for Square’s various properties, includingOutriders,Balan Wonderworld, Marvel’s Avengers, andJust Cause Mobile. Additionally, Square Enix Montreal will be announcing several mobile games, the specifics of which remain unknown.

While what Square Enix has publicly announced is surely exciting, it’s arguably the company’s behind-the-scenes dealings that are even more intriguing. As well as filing a trademark for something called “Chocobo GP”,Square Enix has patented an innovative shooting mechanicfor a future title. While many fans are fairly certain “Chocobo GP” is a racing game featuring the unofficialFinal Fantasymascot, most are at a loss for what the shooting mechanic patent could be used for. However, this could change by the end of the presentation.
