On November 11, gamers the world over are going to be diving intoSkyrimfor the umpteenth time this past decade. The game is turning 10 years old, and Bethesda is celebrating with a new re-release known as the Anniversary Edition. Beyond general improvements for new hardware and the like, it’s also coming with a ton of Creation Club content and more—ranging from Fishing and contests with it to new weapons and more.
The thing is, it’s not just that.Skyrim Anniversary Editionis going a little bit further by adding newquest lines related toOblivionandMorrowind, with the former focusing on the Mythic Dawn trying to open a new Oblivion gate and the latter somehow dealing with the Tribunal. These are clear nods to past games, but there’s a solid chance that there are nods/changes for future games too.

Skyrim Anniversary Edition Changes and Elder Scrolls 6 Rumors
As aforementioned, several gamers have already playedSkyrimmultiple times, often finding something new in each playthrough. That aspect has givenSkyrimmuch more longevity than other titles, and that may be something the Anniversary Edition plays with. Fans know already about some new quests, but that poses the question of what they don’t know yet. For example, if players walk into a city and see a new marking on a wall, they may go check the older versions of the game, and it may not be there.
Boom, that’s an instantElder Scrolls 6rumor. It may not be as simple or as obvious as that, but the more tweaks and changes that are made, the more fans will seeElder Scrolls 6rumorsin it. It’s even possible that there are allusions to other Bethesda games likeStarfield, but they are likely to be hidden rather well. After all, slipping in an Easter egg like this should be subtle and not blown up into a big quest line. But, because these new quest lines do exist, other content being added to the game like this seems pretty likely.

Skyrim Anniversary Edition is Elder Scrolls 6 Rumor Dream Fuel
Elder Scrolls 6fans look for rumors, teases, and Easter eggs in everything, withStarfield’s trailer even seemingly hinting atTES6’s location. If one trailer did that, then a full re-release is bound to have something for fans to look for no matter how big or small it is.
Of course, there areimportantSkyrimthings to dotoo, such as building homes, stopping Alduin, fighting the first Dragonborn, dealing with werewolves and vampires, and joining any number of the various factions inSkyrim. But,Skyrim Anniversary Editionis also essentially a free-for-all Easter egg hunt, so it’ll be interesting to see if there are any small changes fans discover in the days, weeks, or even months after release.
Skyrim Anniversary Editionreleases November 11 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
