The graphics card market is fast approaching the next generation. WithAMD looking to launch its RDNA 3range this year and the possibility of Nvidia’s RTX 40-series coming in September, the pressure is on to get as much out of this current era as possible. While these two titans are looking to the future of GPU tech,Intelstill seems to be lagging behind, having not yet released the desktop variants of its Arc product. However, they will be coming soon, and there could be up to seven different models.

That’s according to a recent rumor, at least. In a report from Videocardz, which references a tweet from known leaker KOMACHI_ENSAKA, there may be a number of Arc desktop graphics cards coming fromIntel. Although the tweet has since been deleted, a screenshot of it shows a potential list of models that team blue could be getting ready to unleash. This includes 16 GB and 8 GB versions of the A770.

However, it needs to be said that the tech giant itself has not come forward to confirm any of these speculations. Interestingly, there have been talks in the past of a number of Arc GPUs making themselves known once the desktop range comes out. WithIntel looking to release the Arc this summer, possibly as late as June, the closer the industry gets to this date, the more likely people will hear more about exactly which models will be available. It seems as though team blue may be looking to cover as much of the market as it can, as well.

With additional rumors saying thatIntel may be looking to unveil an entry-level GPU, one which could match the newly-released AMD RX 6400, it would make sense for these new combatants in the graphics card world to aim for the lower end of the business with cheaper products as well, rather than just going for the high-end and enthusiast range. Of course, the company will need to get its skates on as the next generation is fast approaching.

With theArc GPUs said to be even more delayed,Intelseems to be dragging its feet about its desktop SKUs. No matter how many models it plans to release, it may have a hard time keeping up with the likes of Nvidia and AMD, both of which are looking ahead. Hopefully, team blue will be able to make a splash, but the longer it waits, the more likely it will get left behind.
