Recently, dataminers found some compelling evidence regardingCall of Duty 2020, including its modes, its newBlack Opslogo, and more. These dataminers have also found evidence that suggests the reveal ofCall of Duty 2020could see a significant change to theCall of Duty: Warzonebattle royale map: zombies.
Zombies inCall of Duty: Warzonecould change things up considerably, especially since there are currently no NPCs at all in the game. Other battle royales have added NPCs to varying degrees of success, and it remains to be seen if they would add anything worthwhile to theWarzonebattle royale experience.

We should stress that this isn’t confirmed and it’s entirely possible that this information is incorrect. Even so, it would definitely be interesting to see how fans would react ifCall of Duty: Warzoneadded zombies to the mix. Fans didn’t seem to have a problem withBlack Ops 4’s Blackout mode having zombies, but they might clash with the more realistic tone thatWarzoneseems to be aiming for. Of course, it’s possible that if zombies were added toWarzonethat they would just be part of a limited-time event and not a permanent addition, so fans should keep that in mind as well.
If zombies are added toWarzone, one has to imagine that their debut would be tied to the upcomingCall of Duty 2020. Previously, some reputable leakers claimed thatWarzonewould be used to teaseCall of Duty 2020, so the zombies could be part of that promotion. Alternatively, maybe zombies will be added toWarzonein a second map debuting alongsideCall of Duty 2020.
Industry insiders have suggested thatCall of Duty 2020will have Blackout, which seems to contradict Infinity Ward’s previous claim thatWarzonewill be a constant, even as newCall of Dutygames are launched. However, it’s totally within the realm of possibility that Blackout will instead be re-introduced as a second map forWarzone. That’s just speculation at this time, but it would allow Activision to get more mileage out of Blackout without splitting up theWarzoneplayerbase.
Whether or notWarzoneis adding zombies remains to be seen, but evidence does suggest thatCall of Duty 2020will have a Zombies modeat least. Fans will want to tune in to theCall of Duty 2020reveal, whenever it happens, for more information.
