Call of Duty: Warzonefans have been waiting for an official announcement of the game’s Soap skin for quite some time now. While that may not have come just yet, a new rumor is suggesting that Soap’sCall of Duty: Warzonedebut is tied toCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Remastered.

Another popular rumor, a remaster ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s campaignwas first hinted at by leaker @ModernWarzone back in November of last year. Supposedly getting the information from their sources, @ModernWarzone teased that the project was supposedly in development. Given the success of the campaign remaster forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, it would make sense for the final game in the original trilogy to see its story receive a visual upgrade as well — though it is worth noting that no such remaster has been confirmed by Activision.

While Soap was originally rumored to debut inCall of Duty: Modern WarfareSeason 7, he may actually come with this remaster instead. According to @ModernWarzone, the same leaker behind the original campaign remaster rumor, Soap will be coming as a pre-order bonus forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3Campaign Remastered. While the leaker has no information regarding a potential release date or announcement for the remaster, they do seem to believe that the project is on the way.

While this information should obviously be taken with a grain of salt, the leaker makes a solid point about how a bundle like this was included in the campaign remaster forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. In that bundle, players unlocked a classic skin for Ghost that saw him donning his old appearance. Blueprints forMW2-style weaponry were included as well as some other goodies, creating a package that is eerily similar to what is supposedly coming withSoap’s leaked Operator bundle.

While players knowing the content within this bundle has made fans confident that it will actually come to the game, the fact that Soap has been seen insideCall of Duty: Warzonehas only added to this hype. Recently, a clip made the rounds that showed a player being killed bysomeone using the Soap Operator. While it is unclear how the player got access to the bundle, there are seemingly systems in place for Soap’s content to work in-game. As such, he may be coming toCall of Duty: Warzonesooner rather than later.

For now, though, players will just have to wait and see if these rumors pan out. With Soap and the rest of his bundle potentiallycoming toCall of Duty: Warzoneany daynow, fans hoping to play as the legendary character now have an even better reason to be optimistic.
