This week, Insomniac Games launched the 16th entry in its popular action platformer seriesRatchet and Clank, subtitled “Rift Apart.” The game is one of the few PlayStation 5 exclusives to release in the console’s early infancy and alreadyRatchet and Clank: Rift Apartreviewsare singing the game’s praises.
As with most games in theRatchet and Clankseries, making one’s way through the story is only part of the adventure. There are also a ton of collectibles to seek out and find, some more easier to spot than others.

One collectible type inRatchet and Clank: Rift Apartthat is seemingly easy to find is the Zurpstones, which are part of an optional quest on the planet Sargasso. At two early intervals, if players return to Mort with enough Zurpstones he willgive Rivet some armor pieces, but the final prize is likely the most coveted.

For delivering all 60 Zurpstones, Mort will give Rivet a Spybot. Spybots, in addition to being another collectible scattered around the game’s various planets, hold the blueprints for the Ryno 8 weapon.
How to Find All 60 Zurpstones on Sargasso
Finding all 60 Zurpstones should be an easy task since Mort supposedly marks all of their locations on the Sargasso map. Unfortunately, it seems that one of the Zurpstones doesn’t actually appear on the map for some players. During our playthrough, we were stuck at 59 of 60 Zurpstones with a map that was clear of the Zurpstone icons. Thankfully, the 60th Zurpstone was eventually found and the Spybot reward was claimed and the path was set towards aRatchet and Clank: Rift Aparttrophy.
To find the missing 59/60 Zurpstone, players will want to head to the northwest region of the map. There are no visible land masses on the map but there are two Speetle nests and there should be a Zurpstone. Go over to that area use the dash and hover to get over to the southernmost island, break the Zurpstone, and then complete the quest.
It is possible that otherRatchet and Clank: Rift Apartplayers are stuck at 59/60 and this Zurpstone is not the answer, but it did work during our playthrough. As mentioned, collecting all 60 Zurpstones unlocks one of the Spybots, which are necessary for buying the Ryno 8.Rift Apart’s version of the Ryno 8is quite cool, as one of its upgrades pulls in items from other PlayStation games likeHorizon Zero Dawn.
One tip for those players who are unsure how to even get above a couple of dozen Zurpstones is to progress further along in theRatchet and Clank: Rift Apartstory. Although Rivet gains the ability touse Trudi the dragon as a mount, they can’t collect Zurpstones with her until later on.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apartis available now for PS5.
