Reddit user andPokemon Goplayer Excellent-Pumpkin-15 noticed that the price of Pokecoins increased. Players were outraged by the increase, and some are looking forother ways to earn Pokecoinsin the app. Despite the change being an additional 69c for Excellent-Pumpkin-15, that’s almost double the original amount. The community is voicing their frustrations within the post, with some stating they’re done spending money on the mobile app. With the previous option being only 99c, players felt it was the best option to take when buying Pokecoins. Some users haven’t noticed price changes for Pokecoins in-game, causing suspicion that this increase is only regional.
Manyplayers enjoy playingPokemon Go, so some see this as a bold move on Niantic’s behalf. Prior to the price adjustment, there had been no announcement or statement from Niantic indicating that this change was coming in the future. Whether this was intended or not is only speculation from fans within the Reddit post.
