Catching those legendary Pokemon is about to get a whole lot easier, as Niantic announced today that Master Balls will begin rolling out toPokemon GOplayers beginning next week. The developer confirmed the news afterhinting earlier in the week that Master Balls were coming to the game.Pokemon GOlaunched on mobile devices in 2016, so it’s a bit shocking that it has taken nearly seven years to implement the elite-level Pokemon-catching device into the game. Master Balls have a 100% catch rate, meaning that no matter how powerful the Pokemon is that trainers attempt to use it on, it will catch it guaranteed. In Game Freak’s long-runningPokemonseries on Nintendo systems, Master Balls are quite rare, with only one typically being awarded to Pokemon trainers in the entirety of a game. If players are able to complete all of the game’s Seasonal Special Research and cantake down Giovanni and Team Rocketbefore the June 1st conclusion, they’ll be awarded a Master Ball for their efforts. Niantic warns that “receiving a rare and powerful Master Ball is a special occasion” and encourages players to choose when to use it wisely. A few weeks later, the event will move to New York City where festivities will commence on August 18, 19, and 20.Niantic alsorecently released a brand-new game for mobile titledPeridot. The title is AR based and is described as a “one-of-a-kind magical experience.” In it, players raise a simple dotTamagotchistyle. Players will play, feed, and even teach their dots tricks. Each of the dots has unique DNA and can be paired to breed with other wholly unique dots.
