A Redditor known as TheHolyGeckoLord shared their idea for how to change up the Elite 4. The user’s thought was that afterbeating the region’s eightPokemonGymsand reaching Victory Road, the players should be given four riddles that each lead to a member of the team of final bosses. According to TheHolyGeckoLord, they want the final gauntlet of trainers to be a sort of treasure hunt, which would have players work to truly be able to test their mettle.
A number of Reddit users find TheHolyGeckoLord’s idea to be interesting. It is an interesting idea which could shake upPokemon Scarlet and Violetshould the games decide to go back to using the Elite 4.
Tradition is already being broken in the next generation of Game Freak’s RPGs. During the most recentPokemon Scarlet and Violettrailer, it was revealed that there will be two professors, one for each version.
