There are several reoccurring seasonal events inOverwatchsuch as the Summer Games, and Winter Wonderland. Blizzard has released a brief teaser for theOverwatchseasonal eventon Twitter. It unveiled the date for Halloween Terror to be taking place between October 12th and November 2nd. The teaser also gave a sneak peek at a new skin for Roadhog dressed as a clown with a red balloon floating by that is clearly inspired by the Stephen King novel, IT.

The teaser didn’t show anything else besides the Roadhog skin and the Halloween Terror start date, but being a reoccurring event, it’s expected to play like previous years with the addition of new skins. In anticipation of the Halloween event, fans have already started creating Halloween-inspiredOverwatchskins. Being that only one skin has currently been shown, it appears that the rest will either be shown leading up to Halloween Terror or left for fans to discover as they play through the event.

Halloween Terror is anOverwatchevent that introduces new fun skins for the various heroes in the game. Some of these skins play well into the characters' personalities, such as the Frankenstein skin for Roadhog, the Witch skin for Mercy, and so on. What makes the Halloween Terror event so much fun, on top of the skins, is the game mode Junkenstein’s Revenge, where players will team up to defend against waves of enemies.

It’s not known whether the Halloween Terror event will simply offer Halloween-themed skins and an unedited version of Junkenstein’s Revenge. It’s safe to say that theJunkenstein’s Revenge game modewill be edited in some way as it was in previous years, however, usually with the addition of more playable heroes.

Additionally, while the mask on the new Roadhog skin looks nice in the teaser, it doesn’t really seem like there is much else to the skin except the art on his stomach. The teaser was dark and brief however so it’s possible there is more to that skin than what was shown. Hopefully, the remaining new skins that will debut will also feature fun inspirational designs such as a Chucky skin.

Overwatchis available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
