Aaron Keller recently confirmedtheOverwatch 2Roadhog reworkis coming in just a couple of days. This caused a Twitter user to ask theOverwatch 2Director when Reinhardt may be buffed after what they consider “3-4 seasons” of neglect. Highlighting some impressive Reinhardt stats, Keller stated that Reinhardt is roughly tied for the top tank spot with Junker Queen and Sigma in mid-rank play and lower. Keller also revealed that Reinhardt has above 50% win rate in theOverwatch 2competitive Grandmaster level which shows that the hero doesn’t need a buff as badly as Roadhog.
While manyOverwatch 2fans accept the fact that Reinhardt may not be buffed soon, some highlighted problems with the hero. Most of the responses to Aaron Keller affirm that Reinhardt isn’t weak, but that his gameplay is boring or he is easily countered by an enemy Orissa. With many originalOverwatchplayers chiming in, part of the argument in favor of a Reinhardt buff is reflecting on how the character was in the first game. Given Keller referencedOverwatch 2’s Junker Queenand Sigma, the two tank heroes may be like Reinhardt, with Blizzard prioritizing other characters first.
