Ever since it was revealed that Lucci and his team were given the order to eliminate all the bodies of Vegapunk, fans have been anxiously waiting for them to make a move, and inOne Piecechapter 1067, CP0 finally arrived at Egghead Island. Lucci talked to one of Vegapunk’s bodies and asked for permission to dock. However, Lucci’s request was declined as Vegapunk was already aware of his intentions.
This prompted Lucci to change their course of action, and he decided to use the power of S-Bear to get away safely from the Sea Beasts. Surprisingly, S-Bear also has the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi, which enabled CP0 to successfully get inside Vegapunk’s laboratory.

First Battle
As CP0 began exploring the island, the people living on it went into a state of frenzy. The ruckus caused by running and screamingdrew the attention of Atlas (Punk 5), and she wasted no time in moving to CP0’s location and attacking them. However, before she could land a hit on any CP0 member, Rob Lucci used one of his signature attacks to knock her out. Atlas suffered serious injuries, but she did not die. Rob Lucci wanted to finish her off, but he stopped in his tracks after seeing Luffy. It was a significant moment considering the two characters haven’t seen each othersince the Enies Lobby arc, where Lucci tasted defeat for the first time.
What Is Their Next Move?
CP0 has been ordered by the Celestial Dragons to eliminate Vegapunk and his satellites. At first, it seemed like a bizarre decision becauseVegapunk is the smartest personin the entire world, but with time, it became clear that the World Government has a solid reason to eliminate him. According to Vegapunk, he dabbled in something that is considered forbidden by the World Government, and knowing the history of the organization, which has eliminated people for smaller transgressions, there was no way that it would overlook Vegapunk’s blunder.

The assassins sent by the World Government are solely focused on eliminating the Vegapunk, and they won’t be wasting any time. Lucci will very likely attack Luffy because he is also on the radar of the World Government, and they even tried to eliminate the pirate in Wano. The fight between Luffy and Lucci is going to be fascinating, and all eyes will be on Lucci as he has to prove his mettle. However, it is unequivocal that Luffy will win the fight rather easily. Since their last meeting, Luffy has learned how to use all three types of Haki along with their advanced variants. Furthermore, Luffy has also awakened his devil fruit, which significantly boosts his strength. In comparison, Lucci already knew how to use Haki back in the Enies Lobby arc, so he could have learned about the advanced versions, although he only has access to Busoshokuand Kenbunshoku Haki. If Luffy decides to use Advanced Conqueror’s Haki, Lucci cannot damage him. Luffy wouldn’t even have to use Gear Second, and he would still manage to come out on top.
When Lucci’s fellow assassins see him being pummeled around by Luffy, they will try to help him out. Kaku and Stussy are no pushovers, and they could force Luffy on the defensive, but the pirate will have the support of Bonney, Chopper, and Jimbei. Also, seeing Luffy being attacked might prompt the other Straw Hats to head toward him. In chapter 1068, Shaka ordered to put Sentomaru in charge of the Seraphim, which implies that he is loyal to Vegapunk and not the World Government. Considering Shaka has so much faith in Sentomaru, it seems unlikely that he will betray them. But, the only possible way to turn the tide in their favor is if Sentomarou betrays Vegapunk and becomes a lapdog of the World Government. In any case, it would be best for CP0 to withdraw as they cannot win against the Straw Hat Pirates and three Seraphim.

An Appearance By Kuma?
In chapter 1068, Kuma decided to leave the Kamabakka Kingdom. He used the power of his Nikyu Nikyu no Mi, to get away from the Revolutionary Army, but it is unknown where Kuma wanted to go. A prevalent idea is that Kuma knows about the intentions of CP0, so he decided to travel to Egghead Island to protect Bonney.The former Shichibukaiis merely a husk of himself, but it seems that he still has some consciousness left, and he wants to protect his daughter over anything else.
If Kuma does arrive at Egghead Island then it is very likely that he will engage in combat with CP0. However, Kuma doesn’t appear to be in any condition to fight against several top-notch assassins. So, it is possible that Oda might try and give him a hero’s farewell. The only problem is that Kuma’s death would leave Bonney absolutely heartbroken, as she has been running away from the World Government for several years just to meet her father. If Kuma dies, she might attempt to attack Vegapunk because he is the person responsible for her father’s condition. Either way, it will be incredibly sad if she cannot meet her father one last time. Whether Kuma survives or not, the answer to this question and many others will be revealed in the upcoming chapters.
