One Piecefinally returned after a long break with chapter 1087 and it is safe to say that fans will be fairly satisfied with what they were served this week. Oda has marked his return in quite some style and, already, all eyes have been turned toOne Piecechapter 1088, which will likely focus more on the fight between the Marines and the Blackbeard Pirates.

The previous chapter focused on Garp’s fight against Kuzan andthe Blackbeard Piratesand, given that this fight is nearing its conclusion, the next chapter should be focusing on pulling the curtains on this clash. Fans are already very excited and given that there is no break,One Piecechapter 1088 is going to be out very soon.
The Navy’s Escape
One Piece1087 was entirely focused on the battle between Garpand the Blackbeard Piratesand it was quite clear to see that the fight is nearing its conclusion, judging by how the chapter went by. It’s clear this fight can end any moment now, it wouldn’t make much sense for the story to turn away from here only to cut back to it later on.One Piece1088 should be focusing on the fight on the Pirate Island once again and likely wrap it up. Towards the end of the last chapter, fans saw Garp and Kuzan attempt to take the other one out in what appeared to be the final major clash on the island. Thankfully, Garp is still conscious and will most certainly get up to fight once again.
In the meantime, the Fourth Ship Captain of the Blackbeard Pirates, Avalo Pizarro, is currently aiming for the Navy ship that carries all the freed slaves and injured Marines. The goal for Garp in the next chapter is going to be to ensure that they get to safety and, at the same time, to protect the future of the Marines, that is, Koby, Grus, and Helmeppo, along with all the others who are on the Navy ship right now. Garp will most likely open up a way for Koby and the others to escape while staying behind himself.
This would draw similarities to how Whitebeard allowed his pirate group to escape from Marineford by staying behind following Ace’s retrieval.Garp is certainly strongenough to take on all the members of the Blackbeard pirates by himself if he so wishes, however, he certainly won’t succeed in defeating them given his current condition. The mission here was to free Koby and that is certainly something that Garp won’t fail in. Fans should expect Koby to successfully make it out of the Pirate Island, along with all the other Navy members who came in to rescue him.
The End Of Garp Vs The Blackbeard Pirates
If the Navy ship does manage to escape inOne Piecechapter 1088, fans will most likely see Garp stay behind to fight the other members of the Blackbeard Pirates who will actively attempt to stop the Marines from escaping. In the previous chapter, Garp and Kuzan punched each other in what appeared to be the ultimate clash on this island. It is unknown if Kuzan still has it in him to fight, however, Garp certainly will get up once again and defend the young generation of Navy that he came in to rescue.
While it appears to be a very difficult task for an injured Garp to pull off, fans should remember that Whitebeard did something similar in Marineford and successfully managed to defend the vast majority of his crew, even though he wasup against three Admiralsand countless Vice Admirals. Comparatively, Garp is faced with an easier challenge and he should be able to stop them from pursuing the Navy ships further. Fans will likely see a gruesome battle between Garp and the Blackbeard Pirates in the next chapter, with the Navy Hero showing everyone why he is worthy of the title.

One Piece chapter 1088 will most likely not show fans the conclusion of this fight. In typical Oda fashion, this fight will likely be off-screened after the Marines escape and fans will not hear from this place for quite a while.
Oda has a habit of writing his fights in this particular manner and, if he is going to follow this strategy once again, that is precisely what the fans will see in the next chapter ofOne Piece.Regardless, if things do go down this way, the upcoming chapter of One Piece is going to be packed to the brim with raw emotions that will only go on to serve a major purpose in the future of the Final Saga of the story.
Marine HQ
Previously, fans saw the Marine HQ finally being made aware of the clash between the Blackbeard Pirates and the Navy, led by Garp. Sengoku and Tsuru were talking about the Cross Guild and how they need to be eliminated when it was made known to them that Garp had taken a battleship to the Pirate Island to free Captain Koby. Both Sengoku and Tsuru were shocked at this information, however, given that they are both comrades of Garp, they simply won’t take quiet.
Fans should expect the Navy to get up and fight against the Blackbeard Pirates and the Cross Guild soon. A war on two ends is likely not going to end well for the Navy, however, if the strongest members of the Government also joined the fight, this could end up leveling the battlefield once again. Sengoku and Tsuru, along with the other powerful members of the Navy, will likely focus on the retrieval of Garp from the Pirate Island, this time, with a proper force that is capable of taking on a Yonko. Meanwhile, there are other forces that need to be tackled, such as Luffyon Egghead Island.Currently, Kizaru is already taking a fleet of 100 battleships with him and he also has Saint Jaygrcia Saturn alongside. What’s more, the threat of the Cross Guild also looms large and the Navy has to fight against them as well, which is certainly not going to be easy.
All these powerful threats that the Navy faces right now require them to pull out their biggest forces and, at the same time, even call for help from the highest of officials of the World Government. If the likes of the Gorosei step in, the upcoming clashes that fans will see are going to be incredible.One Piecechapter 1088 might focus on this aspect of the story as well.
It has been quite a while sinceOne Piecefocused on the events of Egghead Island and that is something that the next chapter could very well give the fans a glimpse of. It should not be expected ofOne Piece1088 to open with Egghead Island, however, if the vast majority of the chapter covers all the incidents on the Pirate Island, then the last few pages could, perhaps, give fans a glimpse of Egghead Island. Once again, the Blackbeard Pirates could be under focus here as well, given that they were recently seen infiltrating this place as well. Meanwhile, Kizaru and Saturn are leading 100 battleships to the island, which only spells danger for both Straw Hats and Vegapunk.
On Egghead Island itself, the game of cat and mouse with York is currently unfolding and fans should also expect the story to focus on that, however, it is unlikely to happen in the next chapter. Regardless, a glimpse of Egghead Island would certainly be interesting for the fans to see as the story has been away from it for quite a long time. If this ends up happening inOne Piecechapter 1088, fans would more than welcome it, especially given how the last few chapters have gone.
