When it comes to the world of graphics cards,Nvidiais undoubtedly top dog, regardless of how consumers feel about the company. But withIntel about to launch its Arc Alchemist GPU, and AMD recently announcing a new budget card, “team green” will likely want to remind the world that it’s still number one in the market. Enter the RTX 3090 Ti, a card that, when released, will be one of the most powerful on the market. However, with that power comes a hefty price, as some sources have been noting.

In a recent article over on Videocardz, it seems as though a number of European retailers have been listing the up-and-coming beefyNvidiagraphics cards on their sites. While it can be expected that a piece of hardware of this caliber is likely to sell for a pretty penny, perhaps not many were anticipating having to pay almost $4,000 for the privilege. While the lowest listing has the 3090 Ti SUPRIM down for around $3,654, the highest shows it possibly going for about $4,497. The report goes on to say that these could be just placeholding prices, and it’s possible they could change.

It’s quite a price to pay, but there doesn’t appear to be any final word on the cost, and the listings are specific to retailers in places like Switzerland. Still, it’s not really looking good for anyone who was holding out for the new GPU. With thetech shortages expected to go on for a while longer, many are already finding that they’re expected to pay way above MSRP for a new piece of gaming kit, if they can even secure them at all. The current leaked prices for the 3090 Ti may be enough to put some people off once it gets launched.

Having said that, it’s still not even clear when it will be released. WithNvidia seemingly delaying the launch of the RTX 3090 Ti, which has been put down to issues with the general hardware and/or the BIOS, there’s still no official word on when this monster of a graphics card will hit the market.

WithIntel looking to usher in a ‘new era’ of GPUs, Nvidia may want to drown them out with as many products as it can handle. With this 3090 Ti on the way, as well as the recent 3080 12 GB, and a rumored increase of the upcoming 3050, as well as the next graphics card generation apparently coming soon, team green is fighting strong to keep its competitors at bay.
