Tyler “Ninja” Blevins is perhaps the most influential streamer and video game personality that there is. Although he plays a plethora of games, his boom in popularity came fromFortnite, and many days and nights of streaming the popular battle royale. Some may wonder ifFortniteis waning in popularity, and if there’s anything that can be done about it.

Even asfans and trolls fight online aboutFortnite’s future, some have attempted to think critically about how to go about fixing some ofFortnite’s bigger issues. Recently SypherPK, a popularFortnitestreamer, posted a long video with his thoughts, which inspired Ninja to tweet out a video on what he thinks Epic Games should do to bring back some of the jadedFortnitefans.

In the short video, Ninja talks about how much he has loved playing the game over the past two and a half years, and how he knows his fans are in the same boat. He also praisesSypherPK’s video explaining what is ruining Fortniteright now.

Ninja then goes on to discuss what he would do to improve on the game. He thinks that more guns should be added to the loot pool, specifically more skill-based weaponry, as opposed to players running around with RPGs and mini-guns. He did ask for some more fun and goofy gameplay, which seems like a contradictory statement from therant Ninja went on with players who don’t take losing inFortniteseriously. Perhaps the very idea of a million silly emotes and skins vs trying to create a large scale competitive gaming scene is one that is difficult for Epic Games to balance. Even Ninja seems to go back and forth about it in his video.

Ninja also asked for more players in a game, as there are only seemingly only 20 players or so left by the time the first circle is closing. The new map, that was introduced in Season 1 of Chapter 2, is about 40% larger than the older map, so adding more players might make sense. A larger player count would bringFortnitein line withCall of Duty: Warzone, andNinja also expressed interest inFortniteadding the Gulag fromWarzone.

Ninja may be one of the more controversial figures in gaming, as he’s often making Twitter headlines forscreaming atFortnitewhile streaming. However, he has a powerful voice, and if used correctly, he may be able to influence a bit of chance.

Towards the end of the video, Ninja, who even has his own skin in the game, talked about how much he has truly enjoyedFortnitesince he started over two years ago, and how he hopes that Epic Games will communicate with fans a bit moving forward. The words almost seemed sentimental and nostalgic, as if the heydays ofFortnitereally are in the past.

Fortniteis available for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Android, iOS, PC, and Mac.
