Master Smith McCoy, who is now running the Corlew mining operation, will need to be destroyed so that players can complete this questand help out Shui Tijong as well as others in this region ofNew World. However, firstly, players must find and loot all of the weapon designs in Corlew’s Mine.
Where To Find All Of The Weapon Designs In Corlew Mine
All of the weapon designs in Corlew’s Mine will be in containers called “supply stockpiles”, “alchemy crates” and similar names, which are simple, long wooden crates. Keep an eye for these, as they can be tricky to spot due to their dull coloration and being mixed in with similar-looking objects.
Where To Find Weapon Design #1
The first weapon design will be easy to find, as it is in a supply stockpile just to the right of the main entrance into the mine. The supply stockpile that needs to be searched is below a frayed red banner.
Where To Find Weapon Design #2
Next, head through the main entrance and travel uphill until one spots a small wooden crane and some scaffolding on the right that are overlooking a ledge. Beside some neatly stacked stone bricks will be a supply stockpile that players will need to loot for the second weapon design.
Where To Find Weapon Design #3
On the opposite side of the main path from where one found the second weapon design will be large stone cubes and wooden walkways that the player can ascend. Once up to the area where one can walk more freely, travel a bit west to spy a somewhat short pile of huge stone cubes adorned with some scaffolding. At the top of this rough structure will be the third weapon design in another supply stockpile.

Where To Find Weapon Design #4
This one will be found in an alchemy crate instead of a supply stockpile, though, these containers are virtually identical in appearance. To find it, retrace one’s steps back to the main path and then proceed uphill until one passes under a wooden bridge. As one ascends the wooden ramp leading onto this bridge, players will find the alchemy crate holding the fourth weapon design.Be wary, as this bridge is where Master Smith McCoy is hanging out, but it’s not quite time to fight him just yet.
Where To Find Weapon Design #5
Run past Master Smith McCoy to the other side of the bridge and then climb the scaffolding on the other side to reach another alchemy crate containing the fifth weapon design.
Where To Find Weapon Design #6
Very close to the bridge occupied by Master Smith McCoy, on the stretch of terrain that is flat and possesses what looks like a cooking spot for enemies, players will find a provision’s crate holding the sixth weapon design.
Where To Find Weapon Design #7
Essentially right next to the provision’s crate that held the sixth weapon design, players should be able to spy an alchemy crate. This second crate will be housing the seventh and last weapon design that players will need to recover for this quest.
How To Destroy Master Smith McCoy
Where To Find Master Smith McCoy in Corlew’s Mine
The betraying blacksmith will still be on the wooden bridge that was holding the fourth weapon design, so simply return here to confront this foe, though, be careful of how one goes about this battle, as Master Smith McCoy won’t simply roll over and allow the player to destroy him.Since McCoy is level 35 (as is pretty much everything else in the area), players should be around this level before trying to take down the traitorous smith.
Avoid McCoy’s Allies
McCoy, like the coward he is, won’t face the player in a one-on-one duel right away. There will be some of his minions on the wooden bridge he is occupying, such as some Rustheart Archers and other bipedal enemies. Take out any minor threats to simplify the battle.
Also, be wary of the Molten Entities that appear as little orbs of fire on the bridge, as they will explode upon being attacked, so it is recommended to take them out with ranged attacks instead of smacking them with a melee weapon.

Defeating Master Smith McCoy In Combat
The adversary will be quite slow due to him wielding a greathammer, however, he hits really hard, so be sure to dodge his attacks instead of blocking them unless one has a very resilient shield. Even so, dodging his attacks is still arguably easier due to McCoy’s slow attack speed.
McCoy has a jumping attack that can hurt a lot, however, possesses no true ranged attacks, so players should be able to avoid much of his damage output if they are careful. Floating like a butterfly will help players take less damage, but be sure to sting like a bee after each of McCoy’s slow attacks to destroy him quickly and efficiently.
