The heart ofValorant’s tactical gameplay lies in the unique abilities its Agents have at their disposal and all of the different ways they can spice up the gunfights. It’s no surprise that fans have searched for whatever information they can get on future additions to the roster, but what is surprising is that the latestValorantleakcomes courtesy of Riot Games itself.
Valorantlaunched in full last month with eleven Agents, offering players afairly robust range of abilitiesfrom the start. That’s where Riot comes in. It seems that yesterday the developer accidentally launched a new reveal page for the character on the officialValorantwebsite. It’s since been deleted, but screenshots have made their way online, showing off plenty of text seemingly written byKilljoythemselves that offers a glimpse at their personality. “I know you like that thing you do when you yell at the sky, but with me, tactics beat firepower,” reads a line directed towards fellow Agent Brimstone. “So, let me remind you how I’ve already thought of everything.”
What’s more, new gameplay footage has been uncovered that shows off their abilities. From the looks of it, Killjoy will serve asValorant’s take on the classic FPS turret-user archetype, similar to Torbjorn inOverwatchor the Engineer inTeam Fortress 2. According to the Riot page, their abilities consist of:
The page didn’t provide any hint as to when Killjoy will be officially unveiled, or when they’ll be added to the game. However, given the rather polished-looking gameplay clips, as well as the fact thatRiot is planning to add new Agents toValorantroughly every two months, it’s likely that players will be able to take Killjoy for a spin as soon as the game’s next Act.
