A brand new teaser trailer has been released for the upcomingThe Little Mermaid, a live-action adaptation that has started many conversations since it was confirmed. The 30-second trailer showcases some new footage from the much-awaited film, including a glimpse at Melissa McCarthy’s Ursula, one of the most iconic antagonists ever created by Disney.

The underwater sequences look stunning as Ariel swims around and interacts with aquatic animals, all while beautifully singing the song. At one point, she even comes face to face with Jonah Hauer-King’s Prince Eric.

The film will retain the plot of the original 1989 animated film, where the mermaid Ariel falls for a human prince, leading to a devilish plan created by Ursula.
