The game was originally developed by Telltale Games which, at the time, was best known for its hit video game,The Walking Dead. The rights toTales from the Borderlandseventually found their way into the hands of 2K; the publisher of the mainBorderlandsgames. The publisher has since put Gearbox to work on a new game and information on it has steadily been leaking. In the past, Wario64 has released leaked information that has turned out to be accurate and currently has over 1.1 million followers on the platform. The primary source for this was a set of Amazon pages that listed the new game as available for pre-order. The images on the Amazon pages show a robot holding a psycho mask as if it was about to put it on or take it off. It also listed October 21st as the release date and will apparently be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox consoles. The Amazon pages have since been taken down as was the artwork posted on Wario64’s account due to copyright issues but the release date on the Twitter post still remains.

In addition to the ESRB rating, story details forNew Tales from the Borderlandsleakedonline earlier this month. It is currently unknown whether Rhys and Fiona will appear in the upcoming game in any way.
