Fans ofGenshinImpactare currently engaged with the game’s latest significant update, dubbed Version 1.2. The update introduces a new expansive mountainside to the game, Dragonspine, while also allowing players to take part in a series of new events and quests.
The newest playable five-star character, Albedo, also made a debut with thisGenshin Impactupdate, and another named Ganyu will be joining the game as part of Version 1.2. And on top of all of this, miHoYo has now released a new holiday promo code for all players to enjoy this season.

Promotional codes aren’t all thatuncommon forGenshin Impactplayers, as its developer miHoYo tends to not only drop new codes frequently, but also sporadically and quietly re-activate older codes. The codes are shared through varied methods, often initially stemming from miHoYo’s official fan forum or Twitter account, and subsequently spreading via Reddit or Twitter, if not the miHoYo fan forums themselves. The newest code isGSIMPTQ125, and like all previous codes, it can be entered using a special page on the officialGenshin Impactwebsite.
Travelers should head tomiHoYo’s official websitefor the game, and click the Redeem Code tab near the top-right of the page. As its title suggests, the Redeem Code page allows players to enter anyfreeGenshin Impactgift codes. Players will need to have logged in to their accounts on the website, and make their their game account is linked. Once logged in and on the Redeem Code page, simply ensure that the correct region and preferred account’s Traveler’s name have been selected, and then enter the code.
There is currentlyone other active promo codeplayer’s can take advantage of, though it’s been around since November, so many players will have already claimed it. Nonetheless, both codes, and their rewards, are listed above for reference. The newer code gifts players a combo of 60 Primogems and 10,000 mora, while the existing “GENSHINGIFT” code gifts players 50 Primogems and 3 Hero’s Wit, which are used to grant characters experience.
60 Primogems may seem like a small amount, but it’s nearly half the amount required for theIntertwined or Acquaint Fates used to Wish for new characters and weapons. Moreover, these gems can be exchanged for Original Resin, which can in turn be used to claim rewards from Domains and Elite Bosses. So in other words, Primogems are worth the effort, no matter the amount - especially when they’re free. If a code has been successfully redeemed, players will receive a confirmation message on the webpage, and the gift will appear in-game in Paimon’s Inbox.
Genshin Impactis available now on the App Store, Google Play, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for PS5 and Switch.
