What is Monster Hunter Rise’s Red Bar?
As it turns out, the red barcomes from Endemic Lifethat can be found in the world called a Lanternbug. Endemic Life also includes other critters like Spiribirds, Wirebugs, Vigorwasps, and more. Each will provide various benefits to the hunter like increased stamina, an extra Wirebug charge, and health restoration respectively. Utilizing Endemic Life can make all the difference in a hunt as they provide various benefits.
The Lanternbug is described as a glowing caterpillar that secretes a sticky fluid in order to attach leaves and wood to its body, thus making itself appear larger. However, this body fluid is highly volatile, and applying any shock to it will cause it to explode in self-defense. When worn by a hunter, it will detonate when struck, mitigating damage to the wearer. As an added bonus, the Lanternbug will also damage the monster that struck the hunter. The Lanternbug can befound in the Shrine Ruins, Sandy Plains, Frost Islands, and Lava Caverns.
There are all manner of creatures to discover, collect, and hunt inMonster Hunter Rise. This concept has been at the core of the series since its start. It is a game that actively encourages the player to explore the environment and harvest everything they can. This in turn allows them to craft all manner of items, buffs, andtraps to aid them inRise’s hunts. Usually, Capcom does an excellent job of explaining everything in a game, but it would appear that Lanternbugs could have used a little more info.
Still, as a beloved painter once said, there aren’t mistakes but only happy accidents. Finding and sharing information like this is what builds the core foundation of a community, and in a game as unforgiving asMonster Hunter Risecan sometimes be, a helping hand is exactly what’s needed.
