Modern Warfare 3’stenth mission will have players complete objectives through the eyes of Task Force 141 member Gaz. With the assistance of Captain Price, the two will push through a high-rise building in an attack on a Russian safe house.
At the start of the mission, players have the chance to earn a trophy if playing on PlayStation or an achievement if on PC or Xbox, theElevator Out of Order Achievement/Trophy. Players will have torace to the roof from the start of the mission in under 45 seconds to claim this award, but first, players will need tofind an ascenderto zip past the platoons of enemies barricaded throughout the high-rise.
Finding the Ascender in Highrise in MW3
Players will first have to take the long route to the roof through the building on the hunt for the ascender. Players will deploy as Gaz on the first floor and will have to make it to the eleventh floor. Start by climbing up the ladders in the elevator shaft to the fifth floor.
Fight through the fifth floordown the hall and climb the stairs to floor six. Fight through the hallway on the sixth floor and take the stairs toward the seventh floor at the end of the hall.
The stairs will be blocked, forcing players to head out the window onto the roof platforms and scaffolding. Follow the metal railing up to the windows to the left and enter back into the building, dropping all enemies on this floor.
Once enemies are dropped, players can head through the hole in the ceiling and climb up to the eighth floor - there is a ladder in the main area on eight that players can climb to easily get to nine.
On the ninth floor go to the balcony and climb the boxes to the left, following the yellow tarps across the outside of the building. Players will want to jump across the gap to the other balcony and continue following the path marked with yellow tarps up the metal ramps.
Climb back into the window at the top of the scaffolding ramp and into the stairwell at the landing between floors ten and eleven and climb the half stairs to the eleventh floor.
Fight through the eleventh floordown the main hallway, following the hall when it turns to the right. At the very end of this stretch of hallway,players will find an open window and an open supply crate to the right by the stairs with the ascender sitting inside. With the ascender in hand,players can restart the mission to reset the clock and get back to the roof in under 45 seconds.
Elevator Out of Order
Now that players have the ascender, they need toget to the roof in 45 seconds or less to earn the trophy or achievement, Elevator Out of Order.From the start of the mission, head to the elevator shaft and use the ascender to quickly climb the line.
Fight through the fifth floor to the end of the hall like before,but this time ascend the line by the staircase at the end of the hall instead of taking the stairs.This will shortcut players to the eleventh floor where they found the ascender -take the line that heads out the window onto the scaffolding and push forward towards the next zipline, but do not take it.
There will be enemies on the next platform that players will want to deal with before crossing the zipline, although the platform players are currently on is considered the roof, and players have already completed the task necessary for the trophy/achievement.If players do not spend too much time pushing through the fifth floor, the roof can easily be reached in 15-20 secondsonce the ascender is acquired.
Now that players have the achievement/trophy unlocked, they cancontinue the objective of the Highrise mission.
