Creating pixel art inMinecraftis a popular practice that has persisted since the game was first released, but one talented player took things to another level by sizing up some of the game’s blocks in order to recreate a simple house design on a truly massive scale. Large-scale building projects are hardly a new thing in the realm ofMinecraft, but a skillful recreation of certain blocks' textures has left many fans in awe of this example.

Thepotential for creativity withinMinecrafthas practically been limitlesssince the game first released more than a decade ago, but countless major content updates have only served to deepen the possibilities for players seeking to build amazing things. With countless new biomes, mechanics, and, of course, blocks to work with,Minecraftplayers are still giving form to their imaginations in the massively-popular sandbox game to this day. While mega bases andgigantic mansions are hardly new concepts among theMinecraftcommunity, one fan kicks things up a notch by perfectly replicating a simple build on an unbelievable scale. The player in question, a fan known as Ninjakinfe777 on Reddit, recently shared their creation in a post on Reddit, which quickly picked up a massive amount of attention from the community on the site. Their build is a much larger version of a small villager house that could previously be found throughout the NPC settlements in the game, and looks nearly identical to its original form thanks to the creator’s incredibly sharp attention to detail when it comes to scaling up the game’s block textures.

The recreation is so convincing that many fans didn’t even realize its true scale at first glance. It’s not just the exterior that got built up, either. The interior of the hut is also fully furnished in a way that no doubt reminds countless veteran fans of some of theirfirst early-game shelters inMinecraft. The inside of the house includes a crafting table, furnace, chest, and bed, with each of these objects scaled up to their own respective sizes as well.

Though this brings a whole new definition to the term “mega base,” similar massive creations seem to be a popular goal for many ambitious builders. With recentMinecraftupdates upping the world height limitwhile also adding a whole variety of new blocks to the game, it’ll be exciting to see how other talented members of the community might be able to make use of the many new creative options.

Minecraftis available on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and legacy platforms.
