In a post from Reddit user mqee onr/Metroid, these fans are currently debating how Samus' arms are able to fit inside herPower Suit’s massive shoulder pauldrons- and are even posting diagrams demonstrating how she would need to severely dislocate her arms to make it work. Some users argue that the suit alters Samus’s body as she wears it using advanced Chozo technology, which others humorously refer to as “space bird magic.”

Anotherr/Metroiduser shared an old diagram from theSuper Metroid Players' Guide, which shows that Samus’ arms slide into the Power Suit’s sleeves from underneath the pauldrons - which soon sparked a different discussion about what they are used for. Others have pointed out that the Power Suit designs fromlaterMetroidgames likeMetroid DreadandMetroid: Samus Returnsaltered the shoulders to look less bulky and feel more like something a person could comfortably wear.
