Fans ofMetroidgamesshould now make their way to theleftand shoot their Beams at theblockthat is justright of the closed gate. Players should thendropthrough the hole that they have created, shoot thebuttonon the right to raise the nearby gate, and make their way to the far-right side of this level. From this position, fans should run to the left to activateSpeed Boosterandbreak through a blocknear the far-left wall.
After falling through the hole created by breaking that block, players will be on theHabitation Deck’s bottom level, and they should pass through thegate on their rightto grab aMissile Tank. Fans should then head back to theleftandjump into the wallthat is on the left. Indeed, there is anopen hatchextending from that wall, which allows players to enter a shaft to the left of the Habitation Deck.

In this shaft, players must climb the ladders on the walls and use Ice Missiles to turn the Funes into platforms. When fans of2DMetroidreach the top, they should pass through theopening on the rightto enter an area within the Habitation Deck that was not accessible from the other side. There is adevicewithin this area that players should stand upon to release the “survivors” and open the gate to the right.
At this point, players are free to backtrack to theNavigation Roomon the Main Deck in order to receive their next assignment. That assignment centers around making a return trip to Sector 5, andMetroidfanswill earn the Power Bomb ability as they work through it.
