InLEGO Fortnite, players have to survive against all kinds of environmental hazards and monstrous enemies. There are hostile creatures in the game, but none are as dangerous and intimidating asBrutes. These dinosaur-like creatures are twice the player’s size and are one of the most challenging enemies inLEGO Fortnite.
Brutes are the primary source ofBrute Scales– an essential crafting material. Brute Scales are needed to upgrade the Crafting Bench and craftall sorts of powerful Charms and Totems. The only problem is that players often have a hard time finding Brutes in the vast worlds ofLEGO Fortnite.
Where to Find Brutes
There are three different types of Brutes inLEGO Fortnite. Each of these variants can be found in a different biome. It’s difficult to pinpoint an exact spawn location, asallLEGO Fortniteworldsare procedurally generated.
Brutes
Standard Brutes are the most common and weakest Brute inLEGO Fortnite. They can be found roaming around theGrasslandsand theShorebiomes. These Brutes usually stick to the open areas, such as the shoreline, but can also wander into forests. When killed, regular Brutes dropBrute Scales, a highly sought-after crafting material.
Sand Brutes
Sand Brutes can be found in theDry Valleybiome, usuallyhiding inside Lava Caves. They’re quite easy to spot because of their gray and orange color. However, players need to be careful in the desert, as the heat can damage their health. When killed, Sand Brutes drop a different kind of Brute Scales, calledSand Brute Scales.
Frost Brutes
As the name implies, Frost Brutes can be found in the icy coldFrostlandsbiome. They usually spawn in the mountains more compared to the meadows. Players shouldprotect themselves from the coldwhile exploring the snow-covered mountains. When defeated, Frost Brutes drop a new type of Brute Scales, calledFrost Brute Scales.
Turning on theVisualize Sound Effectsin the Audio Settings can help players visually see monsters from a distance on their screen. This makes it easier to spot Brutes.
How to Defeat a Brute Boss
Brutes are extremely tough and dangerous creatures inLEGO Fortnite. They have a massive health pool and can deal significant damage to players. Brutes have four types of attacks:
Brute Attack Types
Normal Strike
A close-range attack where the Brute swings its arms at the player.
Essentially an Area of Effect (AOE) stomp.
Ranged Attack
The Brute shoots an acidic projectile that can pool up to harm the player.
To avoid damage, players can use a shield or move out of range. However, if they need to get Brute Scales, players will need to muster up courage andkill these monstrous creatures. The best way to defeat a Brute is by shooting arrows at it with aRecurve Crossbow. An Uncommon Crossbow is recommended, but a higher tier will make it easier to kill the Brute. Players should bring at least40-50 arrowsand foods that boost health and defense.
Players can ask a Villager to join them and give them weapons to assist in killing a Brute.
