As of right now, it’s tough to be a gamer, either PC or console, given the deficit on current-gen systems and hardware components. Withindustry experts saying the tech shortages could last until 2023, it’s not looking like the best news for anyone hoping to purchase new products. However, that hasn’t stopped the likes ofIntelfrom entering the GPU race, with its own brand of Arc graphics cards coming next year. With ears to the ground, lots of information is coming out about what these cards will feature, but one leaker suggests that these new GPUs will be more available than competitors.

According to the YouTube channel, Moore’s Law Is Dead, it’s possible thatIntelwill be able to get its upcoming graphics cards into the hands of consumers more easily than the likes of Nvidia. The channel host is often reliable when it comes to leaked information, and while this doesn’t come from any source, it was a question he was asked, concluding that Arc products may be “easier to get hold of” than any of the Ampere cards. However, he insisted that he didn’t want to “double down” on that speculation, but he seemed relatively confident with his theory.

Many are already aware of the fact thatIntel announced its range of Arc Alchemist GPUsa few months ago, with some perhaps keen to keep a close eye on any information. Details about hardware specs, plus leaked images, have already been doing the rounds, thanks largely to Moore’s Law Is Dead and other leakers, with some vague ideas about when the first of them will be released. The discussion on Arc starts at around the 28-minute mark.

It’s looking likeIntel’s desktop graphics cards will be launched in Q2 2022, with laptop variants scheduled sometime in the first quarter after the holidays. Of course, no one really knows what availability will be like for certain, and it’s possible that it may be just as difficult to get hold of an Intel product as it already is for Nvidia or AMD. But if Arc does become easier to get hold of, then it will have an advantage over its competitors.

While the hardware has not been finalized yet, with work still being done on the drivers, theArc GPU could rival the likes of Nvidia’s RTX 3070, possibly even the 3070 Ti. Benchmark tests will no doubt be frequent between now and release day, but here’s hoping that consumers will be able to get hold of any graphics cards by that point,Intelor otherwise.
