Playing champions differently and opting for off-meta builds is extremely fun inLeague of Legends, but these niche tactics don’t tend to yield the best results. Thankfully, for off-meta enthusiasts, ARAMs are a great place to test out new builds and dazzle enemies with spells and attacks that don’t normally do damage.

With recent updates, ARAM is also in its best state ever. From ARAM-specific balance updates to hexgate portals that help players to get back into action quicker, battling it out on Howling Abyss has never been more fun. Players can also now prove their mastery in ARAMs as Mastery Tokens have been enabled in the game mode.
7Moonstone Ezreal
Ezreal has always been the champion inLeague of Legendswho warps the meta with weird builds, opting for item combinations that no other champion can pull off. One of the most recent and fun off-meta builds for Ezreal incorporates the enchanter item Moonstone Renewer.
After building normal Ezreal items such as Essence Reaver and Manamune, Ezreal can then opt into the extremely cheap Moonstone Renewer mythic which will provide him with AP, Health, Ability Haste, and Mana regen. He can also constantly proc the Starlit Grace passive from range,healing his surrounding teammates, which is a lot easier to do on ARAM.
6ADC Ahri
Ahri is a fairly traditional mage in the early stages of the game, but once she reaches level 6, she gains access to one of the most mobile ults.Spirit Rushallows Ahri to dash 3 times, or more if she can find kills. This mobility, when combined with herCharm, gives her a kiting potential that traditional marksmen champions can only dream of.
Building her asa traditional crit marksman like Jinx, players will find that their abilities don’t do much damage, but that they can get in great positions to dish out plenty of lethal autos, all while remaining out of danger. It’s a fun build to play around with, at least for a little while.
5AP Attack Speed Bard
Bard is one of the most unique champions inLeague of Legendsand has afun roaming support play styleon Summoner’s Rift. In ARAMs though, it can be more fun to play Bard as a meep-slapping AP assassin.
By building a mixture of AP and Attack Speed with specific items like Nashor’s Tooth, players will find that their passive attacks really slap, and with more AP, Bard’sQ - Cosmic Bindingbecomes a serious threat too. If players prefer to go all in on one of these options instead, then full AP and ADC Bard are great options too.
4Machine Gun Lulu
Eventhe best supports inLeague of Legendsdon’t tend to do much damage, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t if built differently. One of the most hilarious ways to turn a support into a menace is with machine gun Lulu.

Lulu’s Faerie Companion, Pix, fires an additional barrage from whichever champion Pix is currently on. However, if Lulu herself builds Attack Speed and on-hit damage, and keeps Pix on herself, she quickly turns into a deadly, but cute machine gun. CastingW - Whimsyon herself will give Lulu even more Attack Speed.
3Full AP Alistar
Alistar has always been a fun champion to play, pushing enemies around and knocking up whole teams at once. However, he is normally played as a supportive tank and rarely does damage worth getting excited about.
While Alistar players have always had the option to build AP on him, recent buffs to his AP scaling mean that there is no better time than the present to turn this cowinto a burst mage. Naturally, ARAMs are the best place to enjoy full AP Alistar as he can surprise multiple enemies at once more easily with his damage.
2Tank Quinn
Usually,fun off-meta buildsinvolve dealing more damage or different types of damage, but tank Quinn is an exception to this. By taking Aftershock as their Keystone Rune and building tank items at first, players will find they can dive in with herE - Vaultto proc Aftershock while knocking back an enemy and significantly slowing them.
As Quinn is traditionally a squishy marksman champion, the enemy will then turn on her using all their resources on what they believe to be an easy kill. The joy of this play style is causing constant chaos with her blinds and CC while watching the enemies persistent, but fruitless attempts to retaliate.
1ADC LeBlanc
LeBlanc is one of the most fun champions inLeague of Legendsdue to her mobility and combos that deceive the enemy. Surprisingly, her mobility and self-peel also make her a great ADC, especially in ARAM where it is easier to get ahead. To do this, players simply need tobuild her as a normal ADC, prioritizing Attack Speed, On-hit, Crit, and some AD.
The Hail of Blades Rune is perfect on her as she can jump into range for 3 quick and powerful auto attacks. ADC LeBlanc is great at skirting around fights, diving deeper to finish off low enemies with her autos before jumping back to safety. While more traditional ADCs will deal more upfront damage, no other marksman is as hard to lock down.
