Of the numerous games released throughout theSilent Hillfranchise,Silent Hill 4: The Roomis easily one of the most divergent games in the overall series. Being the first game in the series to take place outside the titular location ofSilent Hill,Silent Hill 4utilized various interactive mechanics and narrative themes that were completely new to the franchise. Now, it seems Konami is celebratingSilent Hill 4by way of an interesting form factor.

Aside from the playable teaser for the now-canceledSilent Hills, Konami hasn’t released an officialSilent Hilltitle in nearly ten years. While a lot of fans are disappointed by the overall lack of newSilent Hillcontent, it doesn’t seem like Konami has completely abandoned the franchise. In fact, a new piece ofSilent Hillmerchandise based on the fourth mainline installment appears to be in the works.

Over on Twitter, a user named Wario64, who has provided numerous leaks in the past, posted an image from the Official Konami Shop which states that it is advertising a “Limited Edition Board #4” that’s in reference toSilent Hill 4: The Room. Wario64 surmised that this will likely be a skateboard themed afterSilent Hill 4.

Now, given that Konami hasn’t officially announced anything yet, it’s important for fans to take this leak with a grain of salt. Though, given how muchSilent Hillmerchandise Konami has been releasing as of late, such as the release of thesoundtracks ofSilent Hill 3and4on vinyl recordslast year, it’s likely that Konami would release something akin to aSilent Hill 4skateboard.

However, for many longtime fans of the series, the lack of any sort of newSilent Hillgames is rather irritating, especially considering the fact thatKonamihas been releasing all of thisSilent Hill-themed merchandise. Then again, if all the recent rumors are to be believed, there might be a newSilent Hillgame currently in development.

For the last several months, there have been rumors circulating regarding a potentialnewSilent Hillgame. So far, these rumors have proven to be unfounded, but the most consistent rumor has been a remake ofSilent Hill 2. Considering thatSilent Hill 2is one of the most popular games in the franchise, an updated remake for modern audiences would certainly do a lot to draw in new fans.
