Throughout theKingdom Heartsgames, Sora and his friends have gone to many worlds, both based on Disney movies and original ones that were specifically made for the series. These worlds are an important part ofKingdom Hearts' story as they need to be saved from the heartless and other enemies that players fight. Some fans even like to think of which worlds will appear in upcoming games, hoping that they’ll be able to play in the settings of their favorite films.

Some of these worlds have been in more installments than others. Out of all of the worlds that have been playable in the games, these are the ten that have appeared the most.
10Traverse Town
Traverse Town is one of the most important settings in the franchise as it is where Sora had met Donald and Goofy, as well as some of their friends from theFinal Fantasygames. It temporarily became the home to many characters after the worlds they were from were consumed by darkness. At the end of the first game, Sora and his friends were able to bring those worlds back to the Realm of Light. Traverse Town has appeared in the original installment,Chain of Memories,Coded,Dream Drop Distance, andMelody of Memory.
9Halloween Town
Halloween Town is based onThe Nightmare Before Christmas. In the first game, Sora, Donald, and Goofy helped Jack defeat Oogie Boogie. They returned to this world inKingdom Hearts IIand were able to go to Christmas Town, which is connected to Halloween Town, where they met Santa Claus. In358/2 Days,Roxas was sent on multiple missionshere. Halloween Town has also appeared inChain of MemoriesandMelody of Memory, but wasn’t important to the plot as it only retold previous events.
8Neverland
Neverland is based onPeter Pan. In the original installment, Riku teamed up with Captain Hook, where they fought their enemies on the pirate’s ship. Like Halloween Town, Roxas was also sent on missions in this world in358/2 Days. The Wayfinder Trio went here inBirth by Sleep, showing fans what the world was like before Sora, Roxas, and Riku went there. It also appeared inChain of MemoriesandMelody of Memory.
7Land Of Departure
Land of Departure is an original world where Terra, Ventus, and Aqua began their journey inBirth by Sleep. At the end of that game, Aqua transformed it into Castle Oblivion so she could hide an unconscious Ventus there.

Castle Oblivion was the main setting ofChain of Memories, where Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Riku fought members of Organization XIII for the first time. InKingdom Hearts III, Aqua returned to the castle, along with Sora, Donald, and Goofy, and turned it back into Land of Departure, saving Ventus. This world also appeared inCodedandMelody of Memory.
6Twilight Town
Twilight Town is another original world that appeared in many games. This is where players began their adventure inKingdom Hearts II, controlling Roxas, who had spent most of his time here in358/2 Dayswith Axel and Xion after they completed their missions. Though they don’t remember it, Sora, Donald, and Goofy had also gone here inChain of Memories, where they fought Vexen. Twilight Town also made appearances inKingdom Hearts IIIandMelody of Memory.
5Destiny Islands
Destiny Islands was where Sora and Riku were born, and Kairi spent most of her childhood here as well. It was the first world that fans ever played on, as long as they started with the original game. InA Fragmentary Passage, Aqua and King Mickey went to the Realm of Darkness' version of the world, where the final boss battle in the game took place, excluding the optional Phantom Aqua boss.
InDream Drop Distance, players fought Ursula here as part of Sora and Riku’s Mark of Mastery exam. Destiny Islands also appeared inChain of Memories,Coded, andMelody of Memory.

4Radiant Garden
A lot of characters in the series are originally from Radiant Garden, including Kairi, Ansem the Wise, some of theOrganization XIII members, and theFinal Fantasycharacters that Sora met at Traverse Town. In the first installment, players went to Hollow Bastion, which is the name of Ansem the Wise’s castle, located in Radiant Garden.

They explored much more of it inKingdom Hearts IIandBirth by Sleep, which was one of the most important settings of both titles. It also appeared inChain of Memories,Coded,Melody of Memory.
3Wonderland
Wonderland is based onAlice in Wonderlandand was one of the first worlds that Sora, Donald, and Goofy explored together in the original installment. Many other characters also explored this world a lot, such as Roxas as he went on many missions here in358/2 Days, and Xehanort, Eraqus, and their friends as this was the Disney world they spent the most time in throughoutDark Road. Other games that Wonderland appeared in includeChain of Memories,Coded,Union X, andMelody of Memory.
2Agrabah
Agrabah is based onAladdinand has appeared in many games. Sora, Donald, and Goofy first came here in the original game, where they met characters such as Jasmine, one of the Princesses of Heart, and Genie,who became a summon. Agrabah also appeared inChain of Memories,Kingdom Hearts II,358/2 Days,Coded,Union X,Dark Road, andMelody of Memory.
1Olympus
Olympus, or more commonly known as Olympus Coliseum, is based onHerculesand has appeared in most of the games throughout the series. In the first installment, it was a great place to level up and earn rewards as players could participate in tournaments.
Some great boss battles also took place here, such as the Rock and Ice Titans, and Sephiroth, the main antagonist ofFinal Fantasy VII. More tournaments became available inKingdom Hearts II, when players explored the Underworld, another area of Olympus.

InKingdom Hearts III, players explored other parts of the world, including Thebes and the Realm of the Gods. Olympus also appeared inChain of Memories,358/2 Days,Birth by Sleep,Coded,Union X, andMelody of Memory.
